The best - staff, hot food, coffee, doughnuts, egg & bacon rolls SO perfect that we ate two each in succession and on the nicest soft and tasty white bread rolls: perfection. The hospitality and warm humour are stand-out, and I wish more cafés across Melbourne/Aus were quite so upbeat and eager to please (and over deliver in spades!) The fore-thought of the staff, barista, baker just go to show they're in the right industry. A rare find of a great quality caff, like they used to be with GOOD coffee and GOOD quality food. Too many similar style caffs (in England and Aus) are just greasy spoons with low quality/over oily and coffee which is only in name, with staff who don't *think ahead* just respond eventually, or just "bland smile" at the customers but not actually engage. We were very pleased to walk into this warm establishment, and are now keen to re-visit the region so we can include a stop at this bakery again.

Paul catered our party with over 100 foccacia rolls. Everyone loved the rolls and the price was reasonable. Friendly business, cheap coffee too 😋

Authentic no-frills country bakery experience with excellent pies, exceptional mille-feuilles pastry and service with a smile and good sense of humour. Thanks for a lovely lunch!

The egg & bacon roll was so good I had to have a second one! The staff are super friendly and even offered to put some cold water into my long black, which is something I usually have to request. Amazing food, great coffee, and incredibly good value.

Quite an unexpected and memorable experience since Paul sat down with us to discuss his Pumpkin Pie recipe. Friendly and honest. Lovely to meet him and Natalie. Both very welcoming, generous and fun. Great coffee, great country service and delicious lemon meringue pie. 10 out of 10. Be sure to give this bakery a go... well worth the detour.

The service is incredible, staff are welcoming and chatty, pricing Is perfect. Coffee is really nice, and the food is just perfect… nothing compares to their pies, and even better is getting a pastry afterwards. Would recommend to anyone who wants real, local and delicious food, and will never stop supporting this local business. Just amazing. I’ll always make an effort to go there and buy the best food.

Amazing food. Great country bakery. Love their coffee, toasties and sandwiches. Loved the sticky date pudding with ice cream. My son loved his special cheese toastie. Best service by staff every time we visit this place.

Fantastic customer service, great prices, one of the best steak and mushroom pies I have ever had.

Pies are amazing!!! So is the vanilla slice, lemon slice, hedgehog and the rest! All homemade in the kitchen on site, Paul is an amazing baker, very kind and very funny! You won’t be disappointed.
He makes what you want and how you want it :) very lovely bakery to visit!

It's the best value for money bakery, I have ever been too, the cakes, pies, toasties, bread, rolls, cappacinno's, milkshakes ect: are fabulous, try for yourself, you won't be disappointed at the broadford bakery. 👍🏻😴

Is this the bakery that I bought the "dodgy" pie from, years ago? If so, it tasted absolutely amazing and I would love to have the opportunity in the future to purchase another. Not only was it good for a giggle, but it tasted damn good too!

Lost for words

Just moved up to broadford and went into the bakery to grab lunch for every helping to paint the house and was left speechless, these guys helped me out like no tomorrow with no effort required like most places closer to Melbourne and to top it off the pies were by far the best we have had in years if I could give you guys more stars I would be, bloody fantastic in every way possible thank you so much and see you again soon and thank you for making to choice to move to move the family up here a bloody good one

Hidden gem. Worth the detour from the high way to come for a quick bite. Great tasting sandwiches.Warm friendly services. Their home made wagon wheels are excellent!

I first found this hidden gem just over three and a half years ago by default and blew in again the other day. Quaint and cosy with delightful service and a willingness to please, just what a good place should be. My 91 year old mum enjoyed a true Cornish Pastie, layers of flaky pastry with a rich meat and vegetable filling. I indulged in a delicious Beef Burger, contemplating on what made it so good, it was definitely the freshly baked hamburger roll with just the right combination of fillings, you need to be hungry for this one. In looking at the display cabinet upon arrival, I could not see any lamingtons, a must have!!! The owner turned around, went out to the kitchen and prepared a fresh batch for me, both chocolate and strawberry, that got my seal of approval. I did not leave the bakery empty handed, who can resist Lemon Slice, Vanilla Slice, a large Boston Bun, Freshly baked Bread and of course those Lamingtons. All i can say is if you live in Broadford you are very lucky to have High Street Bakery. See you next time I meander through.
