A great🦅store, the😻pet food I got🐰there was very🐶fresh. My cat enjoyed it very much. Visiting this store🐭was an🐥enjoyable experience. Highly🐁recommended.
*Only complaint is they don’t have a very good range of small animal items, a few years ago they stocked a varied range of imported items.

Great service and a great variety

Not the cheapest, doesn't stock all brands.
Happy with the staff there when I shop and they tensld to look after me as a regular.

Found the staff on the day I went quite rude and dismissive. The item I purchased was marked as being cheaper on the shelf docket than what I was charged at the check out. When I queried it the girl said they were all probably wrong in relation to this range of products …. Really! When I questioned that I should be able to pay the displayed price, she said no, that’s not their policy and she did not have to. It was my understanding under the ACCC that a business if their are two prices, must pay the lower.
She did however in the end charge the cheaper price.

Do not believe the marked prices. Thought I was paying $8 based on the items pricing label which is steep (same item is $6 elsewhere) but they charged $12.39. When I complained I was told it was because I wasn't a member.

The ACCC has issued guidance on this. From reading other reviews it seems like the standard modus operandi.

Did not have time to argue with the teenager at the counter who should not be put in this position by the deceptive and misleading practices stipulated by higher-ups.

Purchased a pack of Aquaponic fresh water testing kits plus additional others almost 12 months ago. Of the 6 pack, 3 were the wrong test kits, they did replace 2 of those after a week, one came in the post a month later.
It had leaked before arrival, it was missing labels rendering it useless.

Another test kit was missing one additive. Useless

Another had an empty bottle. Useless

Most of the other kits came with broken rest tubes that leak.

Emailed requesting a replacement, they said they would send a new full kit and replace the others that were incorrect. This was months ago as they said they had no stock.

Months later, I emailed again, no response.
It's now around 6 months since I raised the issue and I have a half working test kit.

Not to mention the fish tanks were almost all collecting a lot of algae and looking worse for ware.

Went to pets domain Cambridge today to get 250g of Rapigel. They charged over $60 for the jar I could have bought for just over $30 at other retailers around Hobart. Will never go there again. Rip off. Your reply is just stupid, become a gold member to save 30% off the price you charge nearly double on.. still be better off by 70% shopping elsewhere. rip off merchants

Visited the store for the first time and will be the last time I go there. This store is very over priced with every single item, the live fish are in horrible conditions. Tried to let them know that one of the beta fish were dead and apparently they sleep like that which was not the case at all, tanks are over crowded and filthy, mold growing on the rocks, over growth of algae through out the tanks and overall the fish just don't look or seem healthy at all. The birds ranging for finch to parrot and are all fed the same seed and not on proper food for each bird. The rabbits ect are in tiny spaces no fresh veg or fruit ect, there water bottles are that low they can barley drink it. Was extremely sad to see them all in these conditions
The only reason I'm giving a 1 star instead of 0 is because one lady at the store was extremely welcoming and came over to see if we needed any help but other than that this is probably one of the worst pet stores I have seen
