Had one of their famous brisket pies.
They slow cook the meat in a smoker for 12hrs. Wow wow wow! And the owner is so nice. 10/10 for flavour and service. Located on Appin Rd Appin. If you’re driving by, check them out. Had a plain beef mince pie too. I’m a guts I know but they just tasted so good I had to go back for a second pie.

Now I’ve had a lot of pies in my day. And I have to say, that these ones completely took my breath away. I was not expecting so much meat and flavour. But with every bite I took, I just felt that I had to savour. The pastry surrounding the meaty goods and gravy, were appreciated by my wife as well as our unborn baby. If in this town, you need a good feed, I highly recommend you come here for what you need.

You can tell that they have high standards in preparing their pies and bakery items. Happy to recommend - great place to stop and break up the journey to/from Wollongong with a pie or a cake and a coffee

So glad I stopped in here!! Really appreciated the vegetarian options with vegetable/spinach and cheese rolls, vegetarian pies and pasties etc.
Also loved that the savoury rolls weren't very big (and the price reflected that) which is great when you're not very hungry or just want to add a little extra on to something else.
Will definitely stop in again!

Delicious. I travel throughout NSW for work, so taste a lot of pies. The pies produced by Appin Bakery are amongst the best.

We love this place. Drive for almost 35 mins on Saturdays for breakfast. Their spinach ricotta pastries and chocolate eclairs are delicious

I visited Appin bakery today after going for a local bushwalking as I felt like a snack and needed to buy some things for home. I bought a loaf of white bread, two cream buns, large coffee and a fairy cake for 20.70 cents, and I don’t know what they put in the coffee whether it’s the beans or the milk but I really enjoyed the coffee here. Also there was a extensive choice of pies, cakes and various other baked items to choose from. Worth a visit if you are passing through.

If you want a decent pie folks with lots of filling try here ..
They have every combination available I tried steak with mushroom and it was the bomb!

Once again Appin Bakery excelled with the birthday cake. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Do yourself a favour and buy a fresh cream bun, you won't be disappointed.

Wow, wow, wow! How good was Appin Bakery. We visited mid-morning just to pick up a couple pastries and coffees and were so delighted at the choices and quality of all the baked goods. It was incredibly hard to pick just a few but I really don't think you could go wrong with any of them. The fruit and pecan tarts were both delicious. The fruit tart had the perfect balance of sweetness to tartness and was soft, yet crunchy. The pecan tart was beautifully sweet and nutty. The mini black forest cake was perfectly moist, sweet and balanced. The mini caramel cheesecake was another highlight as it was so creamy and decadent. The coffees were made quickly and were nice. Definitely would recommend!

I always get the same pie from here, if they haven't sold out. Mince, cheese, and Bacon. It's my all time favorite beach food. What got me hooked was the flakey puff pastry crust. I'm not a fan of short crust, so finding a meat pie I enjoyed was quite the struggle. I almost thought I would never like them. Until I found this place. I always buy a couple extra when coming here so I can take them home for later. I also, always disliked dessert pie, due to the short crust issue. But one day, we were going to visit my grandma and take her to the beach for the first time in a long while. We stopped for our usual meat pies and decided to pick up an entire apple pie as well. To share, of course. Well I'll be damned if I didn't have 3 pieces of that apple pie. I'm originally from America, but this place makes the best apple pie I've ever had. As American as apple pie.....well that may be the phrase, but these Aussies did it better. I also love their cream buns. That custard cream mixture is amazing! I never thought I'd like a bread roll with cream. This little bakery was life changing. I just wish I lived closer.

Hats off to whoever is whipping up those pies. Best pie I've had in a long time.
