This is a beautiful setting next to the river, either with yout friend or by yourself, take the time to enjoy the sip of coffee and savoury food offered by the Cafe. The carrot cake was really delicious and yummy fresh! Dish 5/5 , though is little pricey and has extra surcharge on Sunday and public holiday.

A haven from the wind, sanctuary of sunlight beaming through. Hot cup of chocolate! What more could you need!! Well try the amazing chicken waffles. Brilliant presentation. Surprise the taste buds. Eggs Benedict work of art. Not heavy and when finished didn’t leave you feeling weighted down. Brilliant.

The old original harbour master building converted in to a cheery light filled airy restaurant . Sitting next to train tracks overlooking the river and the spirit of Tasmania . You can sit inside or outside .Great views of boats, tugs and yachts sailing by at almost arms reach . Lots of activity to see on the water. Food was exceptional and beautifully presented . Licenced . It was a Sunday and you're probably best to book in advance . Highly recommend

We had cakes - Lemon Meringue Pie & Carrot Cake - both excellent. Coffee rated as 9/10 by my partner, and my iced chocolate was good. Would come here again. 😋

Stopped in here for lunch. Very friendly staff. Plenty of seating available. Optional inside or out. Kids had Little Masters which was poached egg on sourdough toast with bacon and hash brown. Great size meal for 2 older children. Hubby and I shared the chilli scrambled eggs. Chilli on the side just in case it was too hot. But it was delicious!! We almost picked the plate! Great coffee and also the muffins were yummy.

Nice warm morning heat radiating thru the big glass windows. Calm and peaceful waterfront.

Food is great. The lime milkshake is average, which could be stronger in its citrusy flavor and served colder.

Steak sandwich was good - 4.5 out of 5.

Korean Fried Chicken burger was ok - 3.5 of 5. Chicken could have been crispier to give it more contrast in texture from the bun and coleslaw, and the gochujang sauce a tad more spicy.

Very impressed with quality and surprised by the subtle differences…Raspberry Hollandaise 🫣 yes please. I had a dirty hippie and my coworkers had a hot chocolate. Dare I say the hot chocolates arrived and I was very jealous 🥳🥳🥳

I’ve had delicious and really good looking meals and drinks at The Harbourmaster Cafe. Very generous portions and they can adapt to my diet restrictions.
There is always a special on the board, I recommend giving them a go! You won’t regret it ;)
The view is amazing and you can also hear the Spirit’s horn and the captain’s speech every day in first row 🙌

Visited mid-week. We walked around the whole of Devonport centre and could find nowhere open for lunch. It was like a ghost town! We were about to give up and head back to the car along the water when I spotted this place.
The whole menu looked really good. We couldn't decide what to have so shared 2 dishes: the king prawn salad and the Korean burger. The chips were really tasty. The chicken salt they used was the best I've ever tasted (being from the UK I wasn't sure what the fuss was about it until I tried this one). The salad was unusual but the flavours went well together and there was enough sauce but it didn't overpower everything else. I thought the prices were very decent considering the quality of the food and presentation.
The view across the water was excellent and the location was quiet and relaxing.
