Beautiful botanic walks, with gorgeous flowering shrubs at this time of year, all labeled with cattle ear tags by some fantastic local person. Doesn’t matter if the falls aren’t flowing as the walk is very pretty. Opportunity to see two falls, a lookout, and loop back to the tight little parking spot. We heard a fan-tailed cuckoo, delightful birdsong.

Starts a little underwhelming off the side of a highway however produces some very picturesque and serene areas with a great variety of plants and natural features. I would classify this walk as moderate due to the nature of intermittent uneven ground and occasional rock hopping. Allow 2hrs+ to complete the walk including the final loop trail, although if just going to the main waterfall and back, can probably be done in an hour. If heading further on, the trail markers can be sparse and some guesswork is required when the track becomes vague. Wikiloc/Strava/Trailforks has a trail map to assist if required however is not the complete extended circuit but will take you back to the top of the waterfall. Take note that if you find the Rock Pools trail marker suggesting that you follow the yellow tags, this route does not have a clear track and some missing trail tags. Additionally I did not find the rock pools as the trail completely disappeared and the markers stopped after crossing the second gully. I headed down stream following the gully completely off track however after checking satellite images the rock pools were obviously up stream, or left. There is a risk of getting lost at this point if you don't have a half decent sense of navigation so take care as there is no phone reception but some exceptional country to admire.

Had pretty solid rain the last few days and yet there was no action at the falls. Not sure how much rain is required to get them to work??? Easy walking, around 1hour 20 min return, but only walked as far as the second small falls.
