Salt Bar & Bistro

We were staying for the week and tried this place on a Tuesday night. It was steady, but not super busy.
We ordered through the QR code on the table and were able to customise the pasta by asking for the capers to be removed from the salmon taglitelle and the dish came out as requested. It was fresh and plentiful.
The crispy prawn salad was outstanding! Well seasoned, fresh ingredients and generous amount of prawns! Definitely recommend this dish.
We also ordered garlic bread that came to the table piping hot! Meals were fantastic.
The only tiny thing was the table had not been cleaned from the previous patrons. However, I did ask for it to be cleaned and it was done straight away.

Brilliant food and the jug of soda water was free! The pasta is probably hand made and exceeded expectations. Steak in the burger was tender. Atmosphere and view are wonderful. Cheerful service too.

Fantastic place to visit as part of our Adventure All Stars reunion weekend. The food was delicious (Im pescatarian) staff were friendly (and tolerated our shenanigans lol). The function room we used was perfect for our big group. Would highly recommend.

My family and I have been heading to the salt bar on and off over the past few years (whenever we visit my Mum at Kingy) and i have to say, in the past few months the vibe, food and service have improved dramatically! It’s always been good but lately it has just lifted. Not sure what changed but the food has been great and the staff have been super friendly and inviting.
The play area for the kids is unreal! It’s indoors so doesn’t matter if it’s raining and you can book a table right near it so you can watch from there. It’s a great spot!

So happy to have visited Salt Bar as part of our Adventure All Stars TV reunion.
The staff were accommodating to our large group and provided excellent service!
Beer was great and I felt it in the morning 😂

Generous servings, full of flavour. We visited twice during our week long stay.
Curry night allowed us to try 2 dishes (see photos) and they were both delicious.
Another night we enjoyed ribs & prawn bruschetta.
Great for families.

Ordered a seafood tower.
Presentation was beautiful.
The bugs & prawns were 10/10, highly recommended.
Good atmosphere and sitting on the deck was great.
The only improvement was chips could have been more crunchy but all in all, I was impressed

Great value for money, staff are friendly and helpful, venue is clean and fantastic tunes playing. Great way to end a Sunday Arvo. 10/10

Staff were friendly, found us a table for 4 without having made a booking on a Friday night.
When our food came out, a flatbread was out maybe 3 minutes after the rest of the meals and the waitress apologized and offered us free drinks! We were taken aback, we didn't even think anything of the food being a couple minutes late, such phenomenal service.

Just had the most amazing late lunch. We ordered the fish & Chips and the falafel salad.
It was cooked to perfection, best fish & chips we’ve had. ♥

Staying at the mantra this was our go to for lunch and dinner. Dog friendly outside. Friday night the 16th Dec the guy on guitar was fantastic and we didn’t leave until 10pm. The guy on Saturday night was playing elevator music which made us leave early. Staff are great. Meals are great and you can order from your table.

Stopped into the bistro after everything around closed and didn't know what to anticipate. Can honestly say one of the best pub meals I have had in so long.

Massive serves, fresh quality and really delicious.

Day one was the cheese platter with the dips. The dips were hearty serves with great slices of turkish bread. To this we had the calamari, and a serve of fish and chips. There were 2 large pieces of fish with fresh salad and chips. Generous, tasty and perfectly cooked.

Last night we got to the bistro minutes before they closed and thankfully took our order. THANK YOU!! I got the rump medium rare with pepper sauce and mum got the sashimi. Honestly, steak was bloody perfect and the sashimi was fresh with all the trimmings. Spot on team!

We often go here. I am finding the service is not as good as it used to be. Unfortunately I had to ask twice for someone to come and clear the dirty dishes away. I shouldn’t have to ask. I am returning on Christmas Day as I have done with my family for the last 3 years. I hope the plate and empty glasses clearing has improved.

Great location for kids and families. Play area is excellent, as is proximity to park, beach and resort style complex. Highly recommend.

Always friendly service and great atmosphere, kids love this venue and it’s always hard to get them to leave when it’s time to go. Also, the best pub chips in the business!

Orders at our table - all arrived really quick. Kids played in the playground and everyone was happy. It might be our Friday dinner spot from now on!!

Our expectations in every way were exceed, the ever so welcoming staff member, Megan at the door, with the most heart-warming smile (and the most adorable dimples) made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, and the thoughtful touch of providing a colouring kit for the kids was truly appreciated! The dishes were beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. A warm, inviting, and memorable experience for the entire family. A fantastic find while on school holidays, a place where both kids and adults can enjoy a delicious meal together. Anyway, back to Sydney for now, thank you Megan and the Salt crew at Kingscliff. We can't wait to return next time!
