Ross Motel

A great hidden gem in Ross. We were a group of 9 & were looked after very well. Large rooms, very clean, comfortable & quiet. Easy walk into town. Staff could not be more helpful- highly recommend.

My partner and I stayed four nights here for my daughters special wedding day in Ross. We highly recommend this beautiful motel. It was amazing. The rooms were amazing. The location stunning. The service was brilliant. We couldn’t have hoped for a more lovely peaceful stay. Thankyou so much for tending to our needs when our plane was delayed by hours. We can’t Thankyou enough. Never realised how much of a beautiful place Ross is. The accommodation was top notch for the price, easy to find, and I loved the early morning walk around the town.

We stayed for a few nights here and we found the Room very well presented, clean and very well decorated.
Service is second to non, very friendly staff and manager.
Very good location close to the Ross Bistro and other shops, all in walking distance.
You will not be disappointed we can vouch for that.

A hidden gem on our way to Hobart. Emily is a wonderful host who looked after us from booking to departure. Our unit was clean, well kept and homely. We had the best night sleep, very comfortable! The gardens surrounding the Motel are gorgeous and it’s well positioned on the esplanade overlooking the river. Ross is a beautiful, quaint, English town steeped in history. Definitely worth a stop over during your travels and a visit to the Ross Village Bakery and other local attractions are highly recommended. Very welcoming, looking forward to returning! :)

Finally we stayed the night in Ross. We've passed through so many times, always in a hurry. The Ross Motel exceeded our expectations. A lot more charm and character than the usual motel offering. Lovely clean room and very comfortable bed, with an electric blanket. Quiet and peaceful with a short stroll to everything in Ross. We enjoyed our dinner at the Man-O-Ross character old Pub.

An excellent surprise, better than the photos. Beautifully presented room, comfortable bed, and lounge chairs, a well thought-out layout, with larger than normal fridge & table with appliances for simple self catering, quiet historical town, and all for a very reasonable price. But the accommodation came second when compared to the service and helful advice prior our to our arrival. Highly recommend you use as the base for a couple of days in the region, don't believe you could find better.

Very clean and cosy. The owners were kind enough to phone and check on our arrival time, and as we were going to arrive very late, they made sure our heater was on so the room was warm on our arrival. The room has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Lovely location - very peaceful.

This was a great place to stop a couple of nights to discover Ross and it's surround. A fabulous host! With dinners to go or cookup...when the place is quiet or you want to cook in or even better cook a bbq down by the bridge.

The room was unexpectedly well-kept. Allocated parking right by our door was perfect for our road trip use. The grassy area by the motel was the best spot in town to enjoy the sun setting over the creek, and explore the historic sites.

Clean and comfy, modern and well designed. Hosts were excellent and informative, went the extra mile to make our stay pleasant. Highly recommended.

We chose to stay here while travelling from Freycinet National Park to Hobart. This is the motel where we are paying one of the highest price compared to any other hotel in Tasmania. But after reaching here, looks like it’s worth it. Pictures will say it all. The rooms are neat and clean & all the facilities are excellent. They have carefully kept all the items needed in room and it has more amenities than 3-4 star hotel. Room has heater and a fan. Breakfast is included in price and it was all good. Since we came on 25th Dec Christmas Day, nothing is open. So, if travelling on Australian Public Holidays, do make your own food arrangements.

Wow Awesome. A must stay location. Well setup room, large shower, desk & table to sit at with ur Partner, nice soft carpet, continental Breakfast great, comfy bed. Really enjoyable. Will be back.

A great little place to stay, rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The motel is very welcoming and an easy walk to the town.

I can't rate this place high enough. Ross is a stunningly beautiful historic township with a reputation for the best scallop pie in Tasmania. I didn't get to test that, but the Ross Motel was one of the best placed I stayed at during my 2 week driving tour across the state. The service was exception and the facilities matched. It was comfortable, classy and provided everything I needed, from a continental breakfast to a fully furnished suite, including microwave, fridge, wi-fi and very stylish furnishing. I would not consider any other place when I next visit Ross.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this motel. Very high quality, with plenty of space. Lovely friendly managers. A quiet and very comfortable place to stay in a lovely little township.
