As an Enrolled Nurse myself, I cannot fault the staff at Warwick hospital. I do not work there, but was in there recently to recieve treatment. The care, support and efficiency of the staff was second to none, and I have been around enough, doctors, nurses and hospitals to know the difference. The experience that I had there will stay with me for the rest of my life, as will the memory of the doctors and nurses who went above and beyond to care for me.

This hospital looked after my brother Victor George, he was so cared about and looked after till his dying day, I wish to thank Vicki especially who knew my brother very well. We call him Joerg and he had so much care from the doctors and all the staff would recommended this hospital. The staff are excellent but would not miss a bit of an upgrade with the hospital the government needs to dish out a bit more money to them, there are many people in Warwick and surrounding areas they need more machines and so much more, an upgrade would be valued by all, scanning machines, etc..

A huge thank you to Warwick hospital for the great and friendly service. I have never had the experience of someone getting a operation or anything like that and they were great. When the doctor was done with my husbands' operation, he came to tell me it went well and explained what they had done and how sore he would be.
The nurses were just great. In the our I was there they checked on my husband 3 times. I am just so thankful for all the staff and drs. Thank you.

I have only positive feedback for staff at the Warwick hospital. We are very lucky to have a hospital, keeping in mind it is a free service. For the complainers and abusers of nursing staff a little respect would not go astray.

Split my head open while on holidays, waited 20 mins then was checked over glued up and sent on my way.
Would like to thank the very efficient team in emergency and also their professionalism and caring nature.
Glad to see there is still people looking after people even if the Qld gov couldn’t give a rats!!

Never answer the phone!

Cancelled an appointment (After calling multiple times on a period of 3 days before someone picked up, still the wrong department) then received a letter advising I didn't show up 🙄

I presented at this hospital yesterday with pain and difficulty breathing. Spoke to triarge nurse and asked how long I had to wait. There were 5 people in waiting room with none of them in stress. She took my blood pressure. I said I needed to lie down. She said " I dont have anywhere for you to lay down". A hospital with nothing for an emergency patient to lie down on?? I had to come home. What is the purpose of this hospital. The second time I have been treated with total disdain in this poor excuse for a hospital. Shame!!

Who is responsible for the emergency department? 15 years ago it was well staffed, patients were seen and treated effectively and there was a sense of privacy and care. Now it is a disgrace! Patients waiting for hours. I sat there watching an elderly woman treated in the waiting room as blood dripped down her face into a washer. I felt I was invading her privacy as they checked her vitals in front of 20 odd strangers. She was close to fainting and was left to wait 1 -2 hours in the full waiting room. Another woman with a severe asthma attack was left for 5mins gasping for air! Another man had a severely infected leg (yes you could smell it) left after 2 hours saying he would go to his gp in the morning, (he had been the previous day to the emergency department and waited 2 hrs not be seen) And another man with a leg that a tractor had injured had been there 4 hours! Warwick's population hasn't really got that much bigger but it appears all the upgrades to the emergency department has slowed down treatment and now treats people like cattle. As for triage- yes we all know urgent patients jump the que and yes that is appropriate BUT on arrival the nurse examines people through a window to diagnose when they should be seen and then doesnt look at them again. Conditions can change after waiting for 4hrs! I don't think this allows a medical professional a suitable space or opportunity to examine a patient's seriousness. No one stays at the window so if a patients condition deteriorates they wouldn't know. Are we a third world country? Who makes the decisions? A tragedy that rural people are treated so badly.

lousy horrible hospital. My husband was brought in by ambulance after a car accident, and waited 5 hours without being able to move for results. THEN was told he had fractured vertabrae and basically told to go wait outside for two hours while he waited for his lift. This is a disgusting way to treat someone after an accident. They should be ashamed to call themselves medical staff. yes i will be putting a formal complaint in.
