The Prince of Wales Hotel

Went there twice recently for dinner. The service was amazing. Staff were friendly and attentive. The food was great.
Highly recommended.

We had a group of us - 9 couples - book the Commercial Hotel for 3 nights for a 60 s party for Saturday night. We had the drinks & food package for the party and it was everything we could have hoped for, just amazing. The staff were friendly and good fun. The whole weekend was amazing.

I stayed at the Commercial Travellers House in December this year. The room was great with adjoining balcony and great views of town.
There was a garage at back of establishment to park my motorcycle. Found the staff to be very professional and nothing was a problem. You book in at the Prince of Wales Hotel where the bar staff are most accomodating and the bar food is excellent.

We had a group of over 30 people coming through gulgong and stopping here for lunch. due to weather we were running very late but they happily kept the kitchen open for us and then treated us like royalty when we arrived wet and miserable. Food was great and the two for one schnitzels were very popular.

Steak and parmigiana perfect! Cocktails excellent and service very good with laconic Aussie cheekiness. Highly recommended!

Amazing little town. Stayed here on a work trip and had dinner with 5 star service! Ordered the ribs and surf n turf, meals came quickly, MEAT WAS COOKED PERFECTLY! Justin did a fantastic job! His service was worth a 5 star rating, for a pub too he sure made us feel like we were fine dinning. All staff very friendly and passed the vibe check! 🙌

We had a lovely birthday lunch for our daughter..i organised the booking with Super Steve..organised a little surprise cake..service was great

Rooms are clean and comfortable. The bar has a good atmosphere and staff are friendly.

Short Review: Great food, great staff, slightly slow service.

Long Review: We got some amazing food, specifically a lovely creamy prawn pizza, on which they were extremely generous on the prawns for the price. Would highly recommend for lunch, great prices.

Stopped and had lunch whilst staying in Dunedoo. Did not disappoint. Lovely old school pub with rustic decor, lots of photos and memorabilia. Staff were friendly, food was delicious, local wines and spirits, and it was nice to see a couple of independent beers on tap.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay! We stayed with a group of friends for three nights and I could have stayed another week! The accommodation was amazing. Everything you could possibly need. A/C was a blessing! Comfortable and clean. Food was great. We ate there every night. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. Great for couples or larger groups. We booked out every room and even had the courtyard to ourselves for games and trivia. Highly recommend!!

A bunch of friends in town to ride sectors of the Central West Cycle Trail - 2 nights at the PoW.

Steve was great with the initial booking and changes. Then Gabby got involved and was super helpful in resolving an issue.

Checkin was seamless. Rooms are great - good bed, great shower (super hot), plenty of space, easy access to the cars, private from the hotel.

Good range of tap beer - white rabbit dark hit the spot! Dinner was superb pub food (again Gabby solved an issue). Good portions, good food, well cooked. You’ve got to try the loaded donut fries. After dinner drink by the open fire out the back of the pub.

In summary, really good pub doing the simple things well. Good accom, good food, great service. Huge shout out to Gabby who really goes above and beyond!!

Our car broke down and we had to stay somewhere for the night in the local area while we waited on a tow truck. The Prince of Wales was a great option - quality food options and the staff were all friendly and accommodating. Super grateful we were recommended this hotel. Room was clean, bed was very comfortable and the area was peaceful. Thanks so much!

The rooms were a good size for 2 of us, had everything we needed, the beds were excellent, I loved that there was a sink in the room & we didn’t have to try & wash up in the basin! We could open the windows & have plenty of fresh air which is always a bonus
The bathroom was exceptionally clean & fresh. Our room was nice & quiet & the pub at the front was lovely too.
I would recommend staying here!

We were a party of 8 and stayed at the prince of wales hotel during Easter weekend 2023. What a fantastic experience we all enjoyed the rooms were very clean and had kitchenettes . Short walk through the beer garden to the quirky pub. Most of our meals from the extensive menu were very tasty. The staff were great. A massive thank you to the amazing manager Gabby who went out of her way to make us feel very welcome. Gulgong is rich in history and we visited 2 museums , the pioneer which is massive and the incredible interactive Holterman photographic museum. All the Mudgee wineries are only a short drive. The Easter mudgee races were a great experience . Thank you Gabby and the staff of Prince of Wales hotel
