Really gorgeous place to stay amongst the rainforest. Very authentic bush camp and the wonderful fireplace. Our host was very gracious and arrived in the morning with fresh eggs and herbs. So awesome to see that it was young rainforest growing back after logging.

Excellent little getaway. Nice secluded rainforest camping spots with kind, friendly hosts Teagan and Sam. Next time we will bring the kids for a weekend away and go for a forest walk with Sam(sorry we didn't go this time). Great hospitality, hosts were more than happy to help in any way possible.

This was an adventure! From the road in, ( I have a two wheel drive, very light in the back and road tyres ) and it was misty and raining. So the track in was slippery and bumpy!
I was greeted just past the front gate and shown to a little campsite near the road called The View, it has a great view of the rainforest, really tranquil and was one of the first camps along a track leading to further campsites. I was one of only three other groups there and each camp site was very private with a couple of group camp sites and further larger tent or I think caravan areas in the BBQ area. The owner and her little boy have a good knowledge of the area and really go out of their way to help you. Fresh herbs were on the edge of my campsite one of the mornings I was there, another, the local free papers. Mosquito Coils were provided and I even got a single fire lighter cube in the firewood bag, that was a life saver starting the fire!
The young man, Sam takes you on a property walk and it's well worth any spare change you have.
It's BYO water for drinking and showering ( there is a cool little out door bucket shower set up )
The owner lets you collect small sticks to start your fire but has bags of wood for sale about $10 a large bag.
The toilet is pretty basic, a composting one with a great view, with great maps, posters of the local area, info on markets and some attractions. Good place for reading I guess!
I didn't see any wildlife but birds ( There was one owl that scared the pants off me, it sounds like a baby screaming! ) though I did hear a kangaroo run off into the bush on the walk.
The local tavern is a laugh and the locals are very friendly. I would have loved to stay longer, thank you Laniakea Tegan, Sam, chewbacca, you're amazing!

I knew Laniakea would be idyllic and beautiful, but this camp was a really great experience for me. Peaceful, relaxing and left me feeling revitalised from my stressful year of work.

With great camp spots set-out amongst the Rainforest, with much to explore in the local area and awesome, friendly people, I know I'll be going back there for sure, to have a better look around the area to witness nature at it's finest.
