Gordon Country

A large group of us have just had the most wonderful weekend meeting up at this beautiful place. Even though it was a very busy weekend, the facilities were clean and well maintained, the showers were hot, the staff were friendly and helpful and our beautiful campsite beside the creek was peaceful and quiet. We walked in the national park next door and enjoyed every aspect of our stay. We were particularly grateful to Tilly for her assistance with our booking, it makes such a big difference when a staff member goes out of their way to help. This was our first visit and we'll definitely be back - 100% recommend this lovely place.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gordon County. Beautiful little creek just down from our yurt we stayed in, was good for swimming for the kids. The atmosphere was peaceful and serene. We went just before Xmas so expected it to be loud and busy, but even when a lot more campers came in over the weekend, it still was nice and peaceful, people respectful of one another. The management are lovely people, friendly, helpful. An extra little nicety was the coffee van they have set up there. Of you forget any incidentals the on-site shops has you covered for pretty much anything you forget to bring. Amenities nice and clean plenty of hot water for showers.
The yurt was perfect for us, clean, lovely set up, each one uniquely designed, fridge microwave everything you need actually. The bed was super comfy too. I could go on for alot longer but do yourself a favour and go check it out. You won’t be disappointed.
Oh and the alpaca farm just up the road half a km, the wood fire pizza was BEAUTIFUL, and such a lovely cottage style cafe just lovely.

Had 2 nights out here at the family friendly camp area and it was great, such a beautiful spot and had a small area for the kids and the dog to have a swim, even caught a few little yabbies in the creek.
Didn't get.to try out the 4wd tracks as they were closed due to rain, which was totally fair enough from how much we had, maybe next time.
I love the idea of having different areas labeled for different groups needs.
We have told so many people about our positive experience and can't wait to return.

What a top place. Lots of local animals visiting. Camp fires 🔥 permitted.
Shower & Toilets in walking distance. A creek flows throughout camp grounds.
No service unless parking near checkin area. Super access to national park and walking trails.

We loved staying here!! Stayed in the Safari glamping tent. Campfire and creek right in front that we swam in was beautiful, it’s not deep but still great to cool off. We went mid week so it was very quiet and clean. Their cafe isn’t open midweek which I’m sure would be great on the weekend but there’s a delicious cafe two minutes drive up the road- Long Neck Farm and cafe, free wifi at Long Neck too if you need to check on civilisation. We’ll definitely be back with our caravan to Gordon Country, so many beautiful places to camp along the creek. Thanks for a fantastic stay !

Beautiful bush camping place. We went over Easter and of course it was busy. But they had it very well organised. Quite impressive, really.

Gordon Country is truly beautiful, as soon as Kate took us to the barn when we did the site tour, we knew this venue was the one. Everything about the property is stunning, we love that it’s in the bush, in a forest of eucalypts with the creek running through. Almost every guest commented on the natural surrounds, and it was so special to have most of guests join us from Friday to Sunday and completely unplug from life’s stressors for a few days.
There is something magical as you approach the barn and see it appear majestically through the trees. And it was so beautifully presented in every way on our special day. We elected to have our ceremony near the barn, followed by lawn games and canapés next to the barn and then reception and dinner inside the barn and this couldn’t have been more perfect. Kate at Gordon Country was absolutely fantastic, very responsive with all planning, and her skill and expertise completely shone through on the day itself where she held everything together like glue. Kate’s team was also amazing, all lovely, friendly, welcoming and great in their roles. Especially Tilley who helped run the show for our late night party. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to choose Gordon Country for our special day.

This place is an amazing spot to camp.
I got my Ba Falcon into a rad spot. Many little Honda Jazz cars made it through to some neat spots too. I do recommend more clearance on your car to go exploring. But campervans and anyone will enjoy this spot.
Staff are super helpful and really kind.
Toilets and showers are available at some camp spots.
Got to watch Bower Birds and so many stars.
Do yourself a favour and stop by for a night or two.

Had some quality time last week with no data and fully immersed in the nature. Very good location and lots of activities for the kids.
Will definitely be back soon.

Great family camping spot. Clean and friendly. Lovely helpful staff. Great play area for the kids. Had everything we needed wood and ice to purchase. Looking forward to our next trip here.

Fantastic place for beautiful bushland settings and heaps of wildlife. very enjoyable couple of days, clean toilets/showers (we stayed in the black cockatoo ground)

Amazing spot for camping!! Showers and toilets are clean. We didn’t know this until we drove around but the front office has a coffee van which goes hard after sleeping in a swag for 2 nights lol. 10/10 would recommend this place.

We love camping at Gordon Country. Helpful staff and clean grounds. We will definitely be back.

Space, peace and quiet! Glamping tent was great too! We are going to visit again for sure!

There are many campsites to pick from. We stayed at the Black Cockatoo grounds. It has showers and toilets. When we go back we are going to stay at the retreat grounds that also has camp kitchen. This camp ground has something for everyone, from powered sites, glamping, cottages and off-grid sites. The shop has a coffee van and the staff are delightful.

The only downside was a large group of campers at the black cockatoo grounds played loud music well past midnight.

Donkeys cows goannas 4x4 tracks muddy areas what more can you ask for lots of fire wood to keep.your fire spot going just got to know where to look

Great place to go glamping! No wifi or cell service. We attended a wedding there and the venue was fantastic!

We were recently had the pleasure of performing at a wedding at Gordon Country, we were blown away by the incredible atmosphere and overall experience of this hidden gem.

The staff were also very easy to work with and the couple had a really enjoyable wedding night.

We actually are considering getting married here ourselves!

If you are looking for a country retreat style wedding this is it!

Best memories made here at Gordon country. Family friendly areas, beautiful scenery. Highly recommend anyone to travel out to Gordon country and give it a go.

We loved our stay here. Beautiful camp sites, loads of animals, friendly caretaker, amenities were spotless!

Tips. Pick up firewood before you go from roadside vendors $10 a bag as there is no collecting wood.

Go midweek as long weekends, school holidays are very busy.

Only telstra reception at the office available so enjoy the time off your phone.

Please pick up your dog poo as we encountered some large droppings left behind by lazy dog owners.
