Restaurant Botanic

The most spectacular meal that I had in Australia. The menu was so well crafted and the food was absolutely delicious and gorgeous. I had non alcoholic drinks pairing and it was amazing. The Sommelier was truly awesome. Excellent service from the chef and the team of staff. I went alone but never felt lonely. I hope to visit this restaurant again soon.

This was the best meal I have ever had, hands down. We visited on our honeymoon and chose to sit at the counter so we could also appreciate the hustle and bustle of the kitchen in front of us. While this was the most expensive meal we have ever had, we would definitely say it's worth it and would recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone visiting Adelaide. Make sure you allocate the whole evening, because the meal is long - but flies by! From the presentation to the flavours, everything was exceptional, and we ate many things we'd never tried before. A standout for us was the duck, which we savoured every bite of. We loved how the flavours of the Botanic Gardens and local produce were carried through the meal. We chose the second tier of paired wines as a honeymoon gift to ourselves, and the restaurant sommelier was knowledgeable, friendly and generous with his pours. The wines were fantastic, and we travelled all over the world with the wines that evening.
The other staff were also exceptional, and we had a beautiful dining experience at Botanic. The restaurant setting is stunning, and we loved every second. Thank you team, your accolades over the last few years are well-deserved, and we're so glad we could visit.

Our only recommendation is not to charge for tap water - that's just ridiculous when the price of the meal is so high.

I have been to some incredible restaurants and this is hands down the best restaurant of them all. The service was amazing, all staff were lovely. If staff were busy, the chefs came and pulled your chair out ready for you to sit down. The restaurant itself is beautiful and I love that you can watch the kitchen do it’s thing. There’s only a small number of seats in the restaurant which makes it super initimate. The food, I could not fault. The creativity and the flavour was incredible. The portion sizes are really small but with the amount of courses we still left full. We did the wine pairing with was worth the extra money.

Worth every cent! We spent my birthday celebrating with the degustation and Botanic wine pairing option. Hands down the best service and food we’ve ever had and we’ve had many degustations over the years! Well done to the chefs and FOH staff!

Best and longest meal I've ever had. We started at 7pm and ended a little past 11pm.

Definitely worth the bill if you look at how carefully each dish was presented and how good they taste.

The service was also phenomenal.

Exemplar service from the team, especially Chris, Alma and Julius. The wine pairing options were excellent.

If dining for two, opt in for the chefs table for seats right where the action is. A four hour performance like no other.

Food speaks for itself - and goes above what other similar restaurants have done, including Brae and Attica. No doubt the future for Botanic is bright.

One of the best dining experiences I've done, and I have done a lot! Great to watch Chef and his team create a culinary journey that was awesome. Waiting staff were superb.

Absolute perfection! It's no wonder this place has won Best Restaurant Australia. Not a single detail is overlooked from the moment you walk through the door. The food is beyond anything I've ever experienced. If I could give it 10 stars I would! The staff are exceptional - friendly, knowledgeable, attentive just the right amount. This is most definitely an experience that I will remember and talk about for years to come.

I feel this was not a meal, it was an experience, I also think I consumed more liquid than actual food. Because everything was spaced out so much

I will never forget the butter that was served with the lobster tail, oh my gosh it was crazy good.

It’s expensive but when you consider the time in preparation, the cooking, service and everything it’s truly worthwhile.

Had our anniversary lunch there, really impressed by the presentation and the flavours of the dishes. You can tell the Asian fusion is there but not a “copy & paste” pretentious style like some of the fine dining restaurants had. Chef definitely did a lot of research and managed to not only blend in the botanic vibe into the dishes but also keep the flavour natural and authentic. No doubt it’s ranked as the No. 1 in SA. However, if you don’t have the adventurous spirit in trying the food such as duck, crocodile, emu etc. or you are very used to the steak and pasta sort of meals then this is probably not your cup of tea. Last but not the least, love how attentive and helpful the service provided by the staff there as well. Highly recommended for any special occasions!

Each dish was beautifully presented and a lot of focus and care were made to each dish to balance the amazing and interesting flavours.

We enjoyed the emu and kangaroo dishes, they were both cooked amazingly and were tender.

Slightly disappointed when it came to the cooking of the duck. The fat was not rendered enough and was undercooked so it was a bit chewy and some parts were raw.

The waitress recommended us a non alcoholic drink which had marigold in it and that was great.

If the Michelin Guide ever made its way to Australia, this restaurant would have at least 2 Stars. Excellent concept and execution. If you’re a gourmet foodie, you’re lucky enough to find a spot, and can afford the AUD 300 per person, this 20+ courses, 4 hours long menu will delight you.

Adelaide's new restaurant has definitely made its mark. I was beyond blown away by the quality of the food, the devotion of the staff to making every little detail perfect, and the uniqueness of their approach.

The food is not only amazing, but the entire experience is a journey. I see big things for this restaurant in the future, they should be very proud of themselves

Honestly one of the best restaurant experiences in Australia!! A must try if you are in Adelaide! The food the service and the wine was all very special. A beautiful setting in the botanic gardens of Adelaide. 10/10
