Menzies Caravan Park

Spotlessly clean, good size sites, air conditioned camp kitchen. Lovely little town to wander around in the evening, the water park was a huge bonus at the end of a 43 degree day, open til 8pm. Drink at the pub, coffee and breakfast at Laurie's Cafe, couldn't ask for much more in the middle of nowhere.

Stayed 2 nights on a powered site. Amenities were clean and good. Park surrounds were also clean and well cared for. Walked along streets to look at historical displays . Drove to Lake Ballard to view (some) of the sculptures.

What an absolute gem of a caravan park. Spacious and level sites, pretty gardens and trees planted that will provide shade in years to come. And the ablutions are sparkling clean, courtesy of the amazing Irene. Leonora Caravan Park could learn a thing or two from Menzies. Attractive town, rocking pub and history everywhere you look. In 2024, we will spend more time here!

I got the new cabin, its brand spanking new, everything top notch. Spacious, well appointed, satellite tv, you name it, its got it. Would give this six stars, but five is the limit. Well done to the owners, setting a very high standard!

We stayed in Cabin A and it was excellent. It is a wheelchair accessible cabin, but perfectly fine for those who don’t use a wheelchair. Brand new, sparkling clean, with comfortable beds and plenty of room. There’s another Cabin (B) which looks identical, but I think without the accessibility provisions.

You can only book over the phone. They’ll take your credit card details and send you an invoice when you check out. You’ll receive an email with information and the code to a key box by the front door.

We travelled up from Kal in the afternoon, stayed overnight, and went to Lake Ballard for sunrise. We made it back to the park for 9.30am, had a shower and checked out in good time. For non-campers, this was a great way to experience Lake Ballard at the optimal time of day.

Great small park with level sites an concrete slab. Good facilities including laundry washing machines and dryers that are well priced. Dump point available. Powered sites with water. Excellent TV and radio repection with tower just across road.

A small but very thoughtfully developed caravan park with guttered bitumen roadways and well appointed ablution blocks. Particularly favorable comments on the standard setting camp kitchen.
Will definitely be staying there again during any trip through the goldfields.

Great little community park, clean, everything you need. Good base to visit points of interest (Gwalia, Goldfields History, Kykoonie etc).

Great park with a very nice caretaker, well layed out, very good amenities and a good price. Nice and quiet, no local intruders. Good pub over the road.

Stayed in one of the two new cabins. Absolutely fantastic. Modern, comfortable, clean and spacious.
Park manager very friendly and helped me when I arrived.

We stayed in cabin B and had an awesome time. The cabin is modern, light-filled, well-insulated and has everything you need. Shower and beds are very good and there is air con/heating in all sleeping rooms. The people at the visitor center were spot on and super helpful. The perfect place to explore Lake Ballard, Gwalia Ghosttown and Kookynie. Also, definitely visit the local historic cementery. Two points of advice: 1) Some websites say there is a fuel station in Menzies, but you can only get Diesel (fuel up in Kalgoorlie or Leonora). 2) The rate for the cabin is cheaper if you book a second night (at least it was when we visited).

Excellent facilities, clean and spacious. Brilliant TV reception. Delightful people in the CRC who provided all the tourist information material and local knowledge needed to make our 3 night stay well worth while.

Do yourself a favor and get a cabin. Absolutely the best accommodation in any town in the area. Large, comfy and all the mod cons. Only 50ks from the Gormley statues and a nice clean town.
NOTE: Only diesel sold in town. Closest Unleaded is at Kookynie which is about 70ks away and opens at midday.

Great little town, wonderful historical displays. Caravan park amenities were clean ,the camp kitchen very well equipped.

Great facilities and spotlessly clean! Do bring earplugs as alongside hwy. Really lovely folk as caretakers too :-)

We stayed here 7yrs back and doing it again but head the other way this time it's a nice clean spot as we just found may have the odd train or truck go by but all good.
