My experience with Apex Hobart for car rental was notably positive. The booking process was hassle-free, allowing me to secure a reservation without the need for advanced payment. Prior to my journey, I reached out to Apex via email to confirm the validity of my Malaysian driver's license in Tasmania. Their prompt and reassuring response instilled confidence before my departure.

Upon arrival at Hobart Airport, I called Apex to arrange the shuttle van, and the process was smooth. The car collection at the office was simple and fast, with a pleasant surprise of a complimentary upgrade to an SUV, enhancing my driving experience without any additional charge.

Returning the car at Launceston Airport was equally convenient and, notably, without extra fees. However, it's worth mentioning that the location of the Launceston office on Google Maps was inaccurate. Despite this, the office was easily accessible, situated opposite the airport.

Staff is friendly. Noted the office is off site, but price is very competitive. Car given is nice too! Will definitely use back APEX if back to Tasmania again!

Seamless experience , friendly staff. We rented the vehicle for 4 days and had unlimited KMs and full excess coverage at a very affordable price compared to other rentals . Only downside is that you have to pick up and return at the airport location and during their opening hours , but if you are not rushed for time and staying in the city, this is just a small detour and still works out to be cheaper for us. I’ve rented with apex a few times either travelling interstate or locally and their Cars are always new and clean.

I used Apex car rentals last month. Online booking was simple. I chose the zero excess option. The Hobart office is about a km away from the airport. There was a pick up van provided by Apex within 10 minutes of my calling them from the airport. Staff at the Hobart office were very friendly and helpful and the vehicle was handed over in under 10 minutes. My booked hatchback was upgraded to a fairly new VW SUV. Vehicle drop off at Launceston was straightforward. The office is just opposite the airport and they drop you at the departure gate.
All in all, a very easy and friendly experience.

Initially hesitant given the mixed reviews online, but I had a great experience with Apex rental!

Free shuttle provided from the pickup point at Hobart Airport (gotta walk out a bit, not the one right in front of the airport) that goes to and fro. Number provided for shuttle did not pick up till the 3rd try but all was good.

Car provided was reliable, clean and modern. Just gotta fill the tank up during return and all is good.

Me and my friends rented two hatchbacks and both cars were pretty new - had Apple Carplay + cars manufactured 2020-2021! Overall had a really great experience with Apex and would definitely recommend it to others!

I had my doubts as the car hire was 1/3 of the price of the more known brands. Staff was nice, process was easy and my car seemed to be from Avis anyway. The 7min bus ride is well worth it!

Very reasonably priced and we had a great experience. Staff was friendly and helpful. Car is clean and in good conditions with no problems. The only downside is the need for airport transport which is well managed with clear instructions on how to pickup and drop off.

Very competitive rates. Excellent service. Car was near new and in great condition. Do not be fooled by bad reviews. I have used other car rentals in Hobart in the past and been ripped off. I will definitely use APEX again on my next visit. 😀

The process was quite smooth, just called the number in the email and they will pick you up shortly. They have generously replace another vehicle of same category but with larger luggage storage space for us! The booster seat was free, unlimited mileage is included and there is no extra charge for returning the car at a different location! While it's my first time driving the car, the staff explained things to us clearly and answering our questions patiently and even told us where to get a new pairs of shoes and load our supplies! Will certainly rent from Apex again in future.
