Dumpling King

First time, was recommended by my daughter. A casual eatery & wow the food was fabulous, very generous portions. Sweet and Sour Pork is our favourite. Highly recommend to give them a try & it’s in the heart of the Adelaide Central Market. Can’t wait for our next visit.😄😄

Absolutely delicious!
We ordered pork fried dumplings, Shanghai fried noodles and chilli beef on rice.
All the dishes were perfect! They tasted amazing and left us wanting to eat more, but the dishes were just too good a value! We couldn't even finish them. We ended up taking them back for a late night snack :)

The only minor issue was the timing of the food. They seemed to take a while to come out with a long wait between each dish.
We would definitely dine here again if we were to visit Adelaide again!

Dumpling King is my Adelaide benchmark when it comes to handmade, steamed and fried dumplings. You can't go wrong with their vegetarian dumplings nor the pork dumplings in chilli oil broth.

Been eating here since I was 5. Wouldn't know why people are complaining about rude staff, Chinese restaurants are run very differently from western restaurants and you could even call it a cultural difference. Trust me they are not being rude on purpose, they are being brisk and punctual and not there to chat to you about the weather. Trust me if those people travelled to China they would complain about the same service.The value is incredible. I don't know about you but I don't go out to restaurants to judge the friendliness of their staff but the value and quality of the food.

Peking dumplings took a while to make but were amazing! Way better than any sydney dumpling I've had

Delicious xiao long bao (soup dumplings), we found the fried dumplings to be quite greasy but I guess that's to be expected if you order fried food! Menu has a wide range of items, not just dumplings. There are vegetarian options available.

I had noodles with pork. The flavour was good and the noodles arrived hot. The dish is very cheap and about the right size for lunch. Their chilli and onion jam to go with your food is quite amazing and well worth using liberally. A touch of heat. I enjoyed my meal and would return next time I'm in town.

let me tell you, this place is actually pretty good! The prices are honestly affordable, and the food is pretty good! I haven’t tried everything on the menu but i can guarantee the steamed pork dumplings, Fresh Beef Soup, Shanghai Fried Noodles, and the Chilli Oil SLAPS

The dumplings where delicious and there was quite a variety to choose from. They also had dessert dumplings filled with custard that came with ice cream and toppings.

Came in with the family, they got one order wrong and promptly replaced it with the correct order. Food was all fantastic and hot. I have been here multiple times and always enjoy great food.

Popular and busy Chinese restaurant with heaps of Asian beer. Cutlery settings are very Chinese

Generous serving and food are good with reasonable prices as well. Free hot Chinese tea and also like their chili dipping sauce that is free on each table, goes well with dumplings and noodles.

Best dumplings in Adelaide, depending on how hungry you are fried dumplings are good as well as chilli oil are also good.
Shallot pancakes are also good.

Best special fried rice on Adelaide. Generous servings too

I’ve been vegetarian for 25 years and this is honestly the best salt and pepper tofu I’ve ever had. Delicious! Thoroughly recommend!
Great place to have lunch before you get the coach (is just round the corner from the central coach station).

So amazing. Have been coming here for years. Love it (vegetarian noodles and vegetable dumplings with vinegar are awesome).
