Coming home from a winery packed weekend in Clare and was in desperate need of coffee & breakfast, when like an oasis the WGS appeared.

Honest, tasty, country grub, that soothed the soul and replenished the energy system. Just what the doctor ordered.

Definitely worth pulling over for.

Wonderful Highway Burgers, we were so full! Beetroot relish bit messy but nice & chips perfect. 👍

Amazing all day breakfasts. I had the halloumi snd poached egg which came with field mushroom, housemade pickles, chutney and really delicious kale. Impressed! Warning: it was HUGE!

We had a terrific Sunday morning feed at the general store!
The menu had something for everyone, the coffee was great and the food was delicious: big serves constructed with fresh, local ingredients. The store itself is eclectic with a range of retro bric-a-brac to browse through

Great place, casual, super friendly service and the serve of granola was generous and very tasty(poached pears, blueberries and rhubarb & quandong compote). Coffee was great as well. Good looking range of cakes and other treats as well.

Beautiful little general store with everything you need! Excellent customer service, delicious hot coffee and a great range of products. Portuguese tarts 10/10. Also has a nice little space to sit and enjoy a bite.

We really enjoyed our breakfasts. The bacon and eggs were beautiful and the avocado with beetroot relish was divine. Nice and friendly

A quaint shop that offers a hearty brekkie menu and really strong long black and dirty chai latte! Neil was such a polite and warm host. When he knew we were on our honeymoon, he insisted that he must give us something - a home made Chocolate Rocky Road, to send us on our way. How sweet is that!

Best sandwiches north of Adelaide. Soft and delicious, great price too! Lovely vintage vibe also

A proper Cafe with proper food! Perfect tea, delicious lunch - including warm frittata and some sort of chicken Buddha bowl - and great service. My parents were very happy and they're not easy to please!

What a discovery. Best chai lattes, coffees, toasted sandwiches and ooh lala brownies. Neil and his family are such a story book , so entertaining too.

I rolled up on closing time. I was heading further north with 3 hungry boys
I stopped in here hoping to get the boys some grub the very nice guy behind the counter said I can turn the fryers back on and cook up some chips for the lads it will only take a few minutes
So very grateful worth the stop thank you
