Really beautiful sight.
Definitely worthwhile to stop and go to the bottom.
The beach is also really nice and family friendly.

The walk to the large stone is a nice one and can take some great photos.

Keep in mind it can be quite rocky and wet at areas, so probably go with shoes and take them off where you need to

Make sure you go on a low tide and actually walk around it. Quite amazing and close-up, you see all the rock formations both on it and in the rocks you walk across. Good for a work out as well with the stair access to the beach

Great little spot. Suggest you come during low tide, otherwise you can't walk along the rocks. Great little surf beach here as well, spotted half dozen in the water, but would be for Surfers who know what they're doing. Lots of rock obviously makes it a tad dangerous

So cool, I just stumbled upon it going past, could spend a good day there checking out all the rock formations. Very cool.

Also worth visiting at high tide and at low tide to see the contrast

Popular stop along coastal drive. It has a large car park and recently replaced steps to beach and rockpools. There is a nice view of Eagles Nest from the beach while the higher viewing platform allows views of nesting eagles with binoculars or camera zoom lens.
September 2023 update: It's low tide so we made it all the way to Eagles Nest! This rocky crag is such a beauty up close.

Great place for the family to come and enjoy what they call eagles nest rock at the lookout which is an easy 100 meters walk from carpark. But also you can spend the day on the beach where you are one of the few to be only on the beach. There are a few steep steps to get down but worth the walk down.

What a beautiful view and walk down to the beach, highly recommend it. I'm sure it gets super busy in warmer times but was nice and quiet for us. Parking would be limited in summer but there are some.

An interesting rock formation near Inverloch. A short walk from the carpark gives some pleasant views of the rock formation and surrounding landscape.

An absolutely amazing surf beach which few know about too!

Great for sunset viewing and there's usually very few people here. Car park is plentiful. Dogs not allowed unfortunately.

An iconic stop. I actually got married here in 2018 so this place is close to my heart. Be prepared for the 200ish steps down to the beach. Well worth it. There's also a viewing platform but it's not the best view depending on if the trees have been trimmed back. No public toilets, just literally a basic shades picnic table and steps down to the beach.

Natural beauty at its best. This is a great place for photographers.

Definitely worth the effort of going down all those steps. An important stop on the coastal drive. This area has some pretty cool rock formations and is a lovely place to visit.

Eagles Nest Beach was really beautiful and really really quiet on the few days I went to visit in Jan /Feb 2021.
It has a large sandy beach area and a huge rock formation that looks like a giant dog.
The ocean space is really calm for swimming and not choppy.
There are rock pools and rocky areas to walk along and explore.
I thoroughly injoy going and spending the day at Eagles Nest. Very relaxing and thoroughly invigorating! 😊 💗

Excellent place to appreciate the power of erosion by the ocean. The rock pools are beautiful natural aquatic havens for small creatures and plants. Lovely!

Lovely scenic stop. Ample parking spots, short walk to see the large rock.
Going downstairs towards the beach (quite few) lovely beach, awsome rocks formation.
No wheel chair access to beach, but access to see the large rock is possible.

Also perfect for exploring rock pools on low tide! Be prepared for a long staircase to and from the beach if you want to access that, otherwise easy 2 min walk to lookout from car park and perfect green grass for a picnic.

To get close up you will have to go down the wooden stairway and walk across the rocks towards this unusual rock formation. Be cautious and assess the water levels thoroughly before you do this. Best to wear non-slippery foot ware. There are rock pools and rocky areas to walk along and explore. You should not forget your camera. Overall a fantastic experience, coastal drive, landscape with breath taking views, and fascinating creations of mother nature.

Eagles Nest lookout is the perfect coastal vantage point for view of the Bass Strait and surrounds. Either a romantic stroll or family day out, it has something for everyone.

Fantastic for photography and exploring the wilderness of our great land. Lots of native wildlife and cliffside views for hours on end. Highly recommended.
