Love this place 100% A business with passion! I love to buy the fresh baked organic sourdough that Salt Organics offer, it's unlike the flavour less loaves you get else where. I often get a green or red juice packed with ginger and a little something to try out.
The other day I bought a pina colada croissant to give to my partner but ended up having half! The first bite sealed that. The crunch of the pasty, the delightful smooth and creamy pineapple flavoured filling, it was the BEST croissant I've ever had. I was shamelessly moa*ing in the street at how flavourful it was.
After it was all gobbled up, I ran back to the shop to tell them how yummy it was.
It's a bummer those old orbost shops are so small! It'd be awesome if they could stretch out. (*Take over *cough *cough)

Possibly the best bagel I have ever eaten - highly recommend the cream cheese and gherkin bagel! Great service and a lovely little shop with lots of delicious pastries to try. The smoothies and toasted sandwiches sounded amazing too, will definitely be back!

After stopping in Lakes Entrance for some breakfast and being served a very average egg and cheese muffin - which my dog ending up enjoying - we looked for something better in Orbost and found this yummy little organic store. My tuna sandwich was amazing, I had to write a review, I couldn't stop talking about my sandwich. It was made with freshest ingredients and was so good. Highly recommend this amazing little shop.

Had easily the most delicious toasted ham and tomato sandwich I have ever had, they catered for my no dairy requirements, it was crisp, cooked in olive oil and fragrant with rubbed garlic. Highly recommended!!!

If you are passing through Orbost and you see the Open sign illuminated for Salt Organics off Nicholson St in the middle of town- I don’t care what errands you have to run. Don’t bother with the appointment you are heading to, or with any lunch plans you might have made for that afternoon.
None of that matters now.
Your life is about to change for the better; all you need to do is brace yourself for it. Brace yourself for the culinary experience you are about to be blessed with at this utterly-fantastic organic bakery hidden in plain sight. EVERYTHING these local masterminds make is made fresh, that day, and will likely sell-out well before closing time around 1:30pm. Make haste I say- the sourdough loaves will likely go first, then the blueberry cheese danishes, and you better not miss Andrea’s sandwich special of the day. Could be the best Reuben with fennel sauerkraut you’ve ever had, could be a homemade everything bagel sandwich with local salami, brie and cherry tomatoes she slices fresh with each order.
Oh, you like croissants? Well has your mouth ever been blessed by a garlic & cheese savory version? How about an almond croissant that shatters into thousands of buttery angel flakes upon first bite, since it’s freshly made just hours before?? I didn’t think so. While you wait for your roasted chicken and cream cheese baguette to be lovingly packed up, I insist you peruse their beautiful selection of specialty goods: organic teas, kombuchas, cheeses and meats from local artisans, candies, treats, local organic groceries, seasonings, bath salts- even fun bags of veggie chips and mushroom supplements you didn’t know you needed. As you sip on a tasty oat latte Jeff made for you and dig into your rhubarb & custard tart, I hope you feel the joys of intentionally-prepared food nourishing your soul, freeing your mind from the pub-food confinement it’s been housed in for too long, and remember how special food can be when it’s made with all of the love possible. Salt Organics makes some of the most wholesome food in Gippsland, if not Australia as a whole. Thank-you to the lovely humans behind the magic.

We'd been camping down in the Corringle slips for a few days and came into Orbost for some lunch. These toasties were amazing - for a little country town they tasted better than a fancy Melbourne cafe toastie. 10/10 would go back to Orbost just to get another one! I had Cheese, Ham and pickles - Best spot in Orbost 100%

Just had a delicious salad bowl, lots of different flavours. Good coffee followed by a scrumptious peanut butter chip and choc chewy cookie and equally yummy lemon tart. Highly recommend this establishment.
