Not for the inexperienced or faint of heart. Batsons track is closed at both ends so the entrance to the track is several kilometres from the road at either end. The best way to access the track is from the intersection of Batsons track and No2 Rd. We parked at the Distillery Creek Rd entrance and the hike was fairly rugged and partially overgrown on that end.
The Currawong Falls track itself is pretty heavy going. The entrance to the track is not signposted and not immediately obvious from the road. Parts of the track are so heavily overgrown it's not obvious where the track goes for extended periods. It would be very easy to get lost down here if you were under-prepared or inexperienced. I recommend magnetic compasses and paper trail maps.
The track covers some pretty hard terrain and I would not recommend for kids. I also recommend trousers and guetres as I did it in shorts and hiking boots and regretted it.

A really lovely walk after some heavy rain when the falls run.
A few slighly steep and rocky areas, but over all a very well maintained trail.

Future walkers/riders - The Parks Vic pin on their website is in a totally random spot. The trail loops from the Distillery Creek Picnic Area which has parking/toilets etc.

Nice walk which can be fine as a 12km loop or a shorter return just fir the falls. Whilst unlikely to be flowing due to shallow nature, the area itsrlf is beautiful and quiet.

Beautiful walk with a lot of variety of plants and scenery. Absolutely spectacular in spring with the wild flowers and waterfall (when it's flowing)

Sadly no water, needs more signage on path, path in parts is cratered ok for seasoned walkers but not for a novice. Path is also shared with mountain bike riders in parts very dangerous as they came around blind bends.

I used to visit the falls frequently during the 1980s. In spring, there was always water going over the falls. Not so today. Even after rain, Distillery Creek doesn't flow. I'm not sure why?
