Simple stop by the beach to view a piece of history, expectedly had lots of tourists but still could find parking easily. Access to the beach via a narrow path to have a good view!

Really unforgettable experience. It seems like sky came down as this much long road with one side ocean & another side mountains never seen such big mile for 240 kms. Also this was built by Australian army & really good work which is now heritage for australia. The best part was the rainbow in between of ocean with clear vision for all 7 colors & it was full which I never seen in my lifetime. Amazing place

There’s places to stop and enjoy the beach and get a good photo of the sign but I just did a drive by as I was hungry.

The start of the great ocean road... I think at the time we visited we were the only people who bothered to read the plaque and the reasons for the road. Everyone else just wanted a selfie or went on the beach .. Be prepared if you visit here for hundreds of Chinese tourists getting in your way and walking in front of you while you are trying to take pictures.

You have to stop at this landmark and ponder the efforts of those that went before. Hopefully it will be all EVs under the arch soon…

Currently the 3rd version of its kind. A memorial arch built on the Great Ocean Road. A great photo op for anyone travelling with two platforms so you don't have to go stand in the road. Parking space available, most don't tend to spend much time here. There are several information signs about the great ocean road and it's history. A little path at the back leads onto the beach where you can see the light house in the distance.

Nice public monument to the ex servicemen who built the great ocean road. It's un a nice scenic spot next to a nice beach with a great ocean view. A great place to get a few photos. There is parking but no public toilets. There is also a plaque explaining the historical information behind the project.

Beautiful beach for photo opportunity. Apart from the amazing views, the Great Ocean Road has a rich history. The arch commemorates the work of the WWI soldiers who worked on the Great Ocean Road. There’s also a number of nice properties with beautiful architecture along the way.
