Pretty good hamburger with the lot. My personal opinion just needed bit more sauce. Kids loved the pasties.

Great service and great prices and lovely food. Hamburger with the lot was delicious. A good old fashioned burger. The salad roll was very yummy,made freshly and was just what I needed. Will definitely come.back.

Passing through with work,seen this little Gem, stopped on the way back. 2 toasted sandwiches for trip back to Melb, they were yum, service was excellent and friendly too….. if ur going past, worth having a look for yourself.

Highly recommend Nigel for his transport services on the Great Victorian Rail Trail. Friendly and seamless transfer of bikes and riders to Mansfield from Tallarook train station. However he also went above and beyond when our return Tallarook-Melbourne train was changed to a bus service at the last minute - storing our bikes for us with one minute notice so we could catch the bus! Thanks Nigel and family.

Just a little unasuming country store. The 5 stars is for the wonderful service and most amazing fish and chips my friends and I have had in years. They have a $35 family meal deal that could feed an army. Amazing value and super yummy. They even added in fresh lemon wedges and tatare sauce.

Just the best! Friendly people, great service and so helpful. I can also recommend the coffee and the potato cakes.

Holy Schnitz!

I don't always write reviews for places, but when I do, it's usually because the experience has been so so so bad that the only way to ease the pain has been to leave a 1-star review and vow never to return. Fortunately, that wasn't the case tonight, and I'm leaving 5 large gold stars for this place.

Anyways, ordered a chicken schnitzel burger earlier, and this thing was massive. I asked Vicki when she gave it to me, "how am I supposed to eat that?"... but I can't remember what she said back to me, or whether she said anything at all. I have a massive mouth well suited to massive meals and it can also accommodate other strange objects like bunches of paddlepop sticks stuffed in sideways... but tonight I had met my match. Anyone with a small or even regular sized mouth would have had zero hope of even attempting this thing. I had a few bites from it, then turned it upside-down to see if there was a better way to do it, then unfortunately had to concede defeat and took it home to use a knife and fork on it. Besides the size, the quality was top notch... juicy salad business going on, always love pineapple in anything, egg cooked just right, and golden crispy crumbs on the chook. The accompanying bottle of Pine Quench was also good, but probably not good enough to write about by itself.

Hard to find a business with a lovelier bunch of people running it. The new management have hearts the size of a schnitzel burger.

Quick stop off the Hume highway for freshly cooked food for those not wanting the typical greasy food from typical fuel station/roadhouses. Quaint little town with a lovely stone church. The toilets are 200m further up the road from the shop. You can order your food and stroll up to the toilets to stretch your legs and your meal will be ready when you get back. The shop also features some books and knick-knacks and Australia Post services.
