I have great memories of the old pub.
I would of stopped or stayed there a dozen times over a couple of years while doing the NQ run in a truck. Always parking for the truck, good rooms, great food and wonderful staff. It might of been a few years back but the good times deserve a review now.

This is a top little pub. A real country pub. I've had a burger that would be hard to beat, and a bloody good steak here. Meals were excellent value for money. Staff were friendly and beer nice and cold! If you have a meal here, ask for the black sauce, you won't regret it.

I stopped at the Royal Oak hotel a few years ago when I was traveling south and I found it to be quite a good establishment. The publican showed myself excellent hospitality and the feed was of a very high standard. Extremely good quality. The local residents were very cheerful and a good bunch of people. I'm not sure what the quality of the accomodation is like because I rolled out my swag across from the pub in the park but I would imagine that it is quite good. When your traveling along the Bruce Highway, do yourself a favour and stop in at Yaamba and have a beer or two at the pub as well as a feed. You definitely won't regret it.

Good pub stop. There is an area on the other corner that accommodates over night caravan stay. Then it's about half hour from Rockingham. The owner of the pub is as aussie as you can get. If you have a spare beer can holder, he will take it..

Travelling trifecta! Great little country pub/motel, lovely vibe, friendly and really good feed cheap. Huge meal, two vodkas, under $30! Right across the road is a free camp rest area and across the highway, cheapest fuel between Airlie Beach & Agnes Water. Win, win, win.😊

Great place. Huge, tasty, and cheap burgers. Polite and attentive food/drink service, and the pub has lots of character.

In Yaamba, 30 kilometres north of Rockhampton. Great food, friendly staff. Free camping site next door. Not much else in the town though.

Was there during a military exercise when I was in the Marines. Cool place, great food, beer and people. If I ever get back to the land of Oz, this is the first place I'd like to see again!
