The Wamuran to Kilcoy rail line was closed in 1964. The signature section follows one of the steepest sections through reasonably dense rainforest. From this trailhead you can follow the old railway up through deep cuts in the rockface and across steep built up embankments. There is limited parking at the trailhead and no facilities and basic signage. You just have to imagine the old steamtrains on the rails to Kilcoy.
