Ray's Ski Shop

Stopping here to rent ski equipment for my friends. They offered free chain hire if you rent the ski equipment there. The staffs were really kind to show us how to put on the chain on our car, because this is my first time traveling in the snow.

Excellent service buying new ski boots. Staff went over and above to provide advice and offer different options to ensure we got the best outcome. Joe was excellent. With end of season sale also bought new skis, excellent value and saved 30% on new prices.

This place was awesome, there's good variety and plenty of deals in store. The staff were lovely and went out of their way to provide excellent customer service and even give us a good deal! Special thanks to Pat, super knowledgeable dude, super friendly and went above and beyond to help us out. Really recommend this place, worth stopping by.

I went to Mt Hotham with my family during the school holiday. We rented snow chains from the Ray's ski shop and had a pleasant experience.
The staff David McCallum is super helpful, patient and friendly, his demonstration is clear and professional. He allowed us to have practice on site times by times until we were confident enough to do it ourselves. Sincerely appreciated! Great thanks David!

Outstanding customer service!!

We hired chains and ski boots and unfortunately on the drive up, after paying hoys chain service $20 to fit our chains, the chain snapped! Was a disaster of a ride driving in a Hyundai i30 in relentless snow and ice with only one chain. furthermore we had the thought all week of having to pay to replace the chains.

Upon our return to Rays, we explained our situation and gave details. Rays did not charge us for the chains thankfully. The kindness shown by the employers and management was exemplary. We will be back to hire again from here on any trip to Hotham!

I rented a snow chain from Ray’s on my way to Mt Hotham. The staff was really nice and helpful. She tried a few chains to fit in my tyres and did a very good demonstration to show me how to fit in the chains.

Great service and prices. We hired snow chains and jackets and pants. Sizes range from babies upto a 9xl.

Had a great and smooth experience here last month with my family. Once all our details have been entered into their computers (which takes a little time), all was straight forward and we were looked after well. You can collect pre-ordered snow passes here (if you don’t have them already), which saved heaps of time up at Falls. Will be returning again for any hire gear, including chains for some spring skiing!

Good shop to stop at, they know all about chains and snow gear. Safety is very important to them so if your going up the mountains stop here for good support and direction.
