Black Head Rock Pool

Black head is a spectacular spot surrounded by trees, beach and a walk way to the local shops. A lovely family spot and place to be outside. Has decent public toilets as well.

Lovely beach, good facilities, although no loo roll. Nice ocean pools for safer swimming. Usually few people unless on a public holiday.

Beautiful surf beach with a saltwater pool. Surfclub and patrolled. Creek runs parralell with the beach in between the footpath and grassy area. There is however a designated small bridge allowing beach access

Beautiful spot. Fresh cold & clean ocean water with the odd splash of a wave coming over at the deep end. Plus a lovely beach only a minute away with shady trees & a creek plus some nature walking tracks not far from there either. Just perfect.

What a lovely spot to bring your family, the pool is in good condition. The location in the beautiful Blackhead is fantastic.Swim in the pool and enjoy the views over Blackhead Beach, which is a patrolled beach.lots of grassy area's to lay around ot have a picnic on.The toilets are due for a Renovation in my opinion,only one toilet in the mens and very small change area.So if your visiting the Barrington coast this location will satisfy all your needs.

Great ocean pool, clean and regularly maintained. Sunrise early mornings best time to go as the sun rises in the east.

One of only two ocean baths in the Barrington Coast.
Black Head Beach is 1.6 km long running in a gentle east-facing arc between Red Head and Black Head and is regarded as one of the best swimming beaches in the Manning Valley. It features large shady Norfolk Island pines, an ocean pool, picnic areas, and barbecues.

The beach is patrolled during the swimming season (October to April) by both professional life guards during school holidays and by volunteer surf life savers from Black Head Surf Life Saving Club on weekends and public holidays.

Behind the dune is Black Head lagoon with a creek emptying into the sea near the surf club. The picnic area is very pretty here and there's a short timber bridge onto the sand dune.

The Black Head Ocean Baths (also known as the Black Head Rock Pool) comprises of a 30m pool and children's swimming area.

Dropped by here after a local recommended it. What a great spot and such a well kept pool. Feels like you are sitting in the ocean waves. It was a touch blowy but there were many families and puppies taking advantage of the area. Life savers were watching the beach which is attached. No problem parking. Very friendly people all out enjoying the balmy 36 degrees 🤣🤣

A wonderful ocean pool for all ages, with a lap pool as well as a shallower kids pool. There is plenty of seating with a number of benches along the pool and a decently sized grassy area as well. There are also lots of interesting animals visible such as crabs that climb around the rocks past the edges of the pool. There are fairly recently updated facilities nearby, with showers, changing rooms, and bathrooms located at the rear of the SLSC next to the pool. The pool is very accessible with ramps to access it and a small amount of disabled parking close to the pool (other parking is only available on the roadside).

Sensational spot to spend a few hours relaxing and enjoying the waves.

Easily assessable from the ample parking that is available on the street or up the hill. Toilets and showers are available with plenty of seating and grassy area for sitting about.
