Calvary Adelaide Hospital

Had knee surgery here a couple of weeks ago.
Was in Potter Ward.
Food was fantastic and big serves. Easy to order on Ipad by the bed.
Nursing staff were mostly fabulous, special shout out to Courtney who looked after me so well as did all the nurses.
Doctors were all amazing, my surgeon Dr Allen came everyday to see me.
Bed was comfortable.
All staff from Doctors down to cleaning staff were respectful and professional.
Wonderful hospital. Keep up the great work team!

I was shocked at how lovely ALL the nurses were looking after my Dad through surgery and rehab. So rare. After bad experiences in 4 other hospitals with rude nurses in the past 2 years I will recommend this one highly and always choose it in future. A high standard of health care with actual kindness included. Well done Calvary Adelaide!

All the nurses that have come out for home visits have been absolutely lovely and caring. Especially Annette. Always double checking that I'm alright during treatment, asking if there's anything I need, such as a drink before she leaves.

Unfortunately I broke my hip after having a bike accident whilst holidaying from interstate and needed Ambulance transportation from Hahndorf and the Paramedics suggested they take me to the Calvary Hospital. Ambulance only took 20 minutes to arrive and I cannot fault the service and compassion I received from the Paramedics, Emergency Department Staff, Surgical Staff and Rehab Staff. Thank you to all concerned and a shout out to Dr Tam Ho and Dr Luke Mooney. Any stay in hospital is not nice but I reflect on the 8 days I spent in Calvary is as good as it gets.

Just had an epidural in my L4-5 area. Lovely doctor's and nurses. Rubbed my arms to relax me. Very caring and professional. Thank you

Cannot say enough about the care and patience that I recieved from the nursing staff during my recovery.
Additionally I was able to access the latest robotic technology for my surgery, not avaliable else where.
The service is worth the cost, health is wealth.

Waited less than 5 minutes to be seen. I felt that staff listened and understood my medical issues. Drs, nurses, X-ray and ultrasound technicians were all friendly and professional

Excellent staff at the emergency service. Mother broke her hip, x-ray soon after then straight to surgery with one of top specialists. She seems well care for. When I was in the waiting room, I've asked where I can get coffee. This kind young woman with long dark hair behind the counter offered me a nice coffee. Their professional approach and manners will not be forgotten.

Calvary Adelaide cared for my mum for a week while she was admitted due to a severe infection. I have nothing but praise for all the staff I encountered here. The doctors, nurses, cleaners, reception staff.
The food was also great and my mum enjoyed her meals.
I felt great peace of mind here, as I felt the staff genuinely did care for my mum. She wasn't treated like just a number.
I am so grateful to the staff in Hynes ward.

My mum was taken into emergency there yesterday and the whole process was so efficient and smooth. The Dr looking after my mum was absolutely amazing and all the staff were fantastic. This new facility has all the latest equipment and the emergency is 24 hrs. The main hospital has 12 floors and looks fantastic. Yesterday I had a plate installed in my wrist. With a few complications towards to end. Thank you so much for looking after me. Could not ask for better care. Absolutely beautiful people. To my Surgeon. Thank you so much for the on going support.

Starting with the positives, Cardiac ward nurses & doctors were amazing I really can’t praise them enough. Food portions & variety was really good. The porters, cleaners & kitchen crew were great. Unfortunately I had two not so nice nurses in ICU, ironically since it’s the one place where you need a little extra care. I didn’t feel comfortable complaining since I didn’t want to risk further issues. All said I gave them 5 stars because the good far outweighs the not so good.

Nothing short of amazing staff both when I had my day surgery a bit over a week ago and again in their ER department.

All staff from reception, triage nurse, ward nursing staff and Doctors are a credit to their profession and the Hospital itself.

Never a "pleasant" time to be in hospital but with staff and the facilities in this hospital are second to none and make it all so much more tolerable.

The care I experienced within Calvary, especially from the staff on the Potter Ward, was absolutely outstanding. The room and facilities were also fantastic. Thank you, Calvary, you did a great job and whilst I'm happy to have left and be home it's not because I didn't like being there.

My elderly mother had to come here for a hip replacement, due to the ramping at Flinders 3 weeks ago. Talk about silver linings! The staff are absolutely lovely and geniunely caring. The hospital itself is modern, bright and warm. Very comfortable. The food is nice and plentiful - for a fussy eater my mother's plate was generally clean when we visited. For someone who can be a whinger, they wasn't much for her to complain about here lol. The cafe on ground floor is great too with nice coffee and food. Would definately recommend to anyone, especially for orthopedic surgery.

I have been an inpatient at Calvary Adelaide a few times, also currently an inpatient. Staff have been fantastic, facilities are great and despite having food allergies, I still get great options for my meals. I never get such nice food options at other hospitals as I have here. Hospital is never an enjoyable experience but having such a warm and caring environment just makes it so much nicer. Thank you

Excellent and caring service from the nurse. She is nice and warm, and offered me with hot coffee, sandwich and yogurt. Doctor gave advice quickly and in a soothing tone which I like. Professional reception service.

5 stars are an understatement. This is how all hospitals should be.

I unfortunately had to check myself into the Emergency department yesterday as I was quite sick. I was promptly seen to by the triage nurse and taken through into the ED where I was met by staff who were incredible from start to finish. The entire ED was spotlessly clean, very modern and up to date. This is exactly what healthcare in Australia should be.

If you are looking for an Eye Specialist, you cannot go past Dr. G Pietris at the Calvary Hospital. He has looked after and treated my eye problems for a number of years, and I highly recommend him. His manner and expertise are beyond reproach. Well done to him and his reception staff.
