La Scala Cafe & Pizzeria

Celebrated my mum's 81st birthday with family and the variety of dishes catered for all. Maria and staff greeted us with the best smile and service. Bang for your buck! Thank you Maria and staff for your service and warmth-we'll definitely be returning there and recommending you guys.

This is a great little cafe-restaurant on Unley Road. We booked on-line for a dinner in March 2023. Parking was easy to find on Oxford Terrace. Staff were wonderful. Polite, efficient and friendly. It is lovely to get a smile from hospitality staff. We ordered the garlic bread special, penne bolognese, pollo limone, and for dessert the home made tiramisu with a skinny cappuccino. Food was delivered to our table promptly. The garlic bread was hot and tasty. The main meals were ample and very well presented. The pollo limone was excellent. The tiramisu was also a top choice for dessert. Try it. This eatery is wonderful. Check it out, you will not be disappointed.

I recently had my Baby shower at La Scala in the private function room. Every step of the way the team were nothing short of amazing! The service and food was sensational. I cannot recommend highly enough!

It was late so in the light of that I'll try to be kind about the food... I ordered the same as someone else on our table and my serve was about half the size of the other plate - I had planned to share my plate so I was disappointed with the portion size, otherwise the serve was perfect for me.

Hit up this spot three times already, and they've always nailed it. The grub is top-notch and the atmosphere is spot on. Count me in as a regular. Can't wait for my fourth visit!

It was great, very friendly and helpful staff, there were about 18 of us there for a catchup, a chin wag, and a lovely atmosphere to relax in, we have never been there before, highly recommend this resterante.
Will definately go there again in the future.

Had a traditional cabanara dish. It was made authentically with egg instead of cream. Really lovely little restaurant/Cafe.

Very frindly and helpful staff.Amazing fresh food.we had caedarr salad,vedges,bbq chiken pizza and penne pasta.all very well cooked fresh and delicious.They definitely deserve 5 stats.Thanks for the good quality and sufficient quantity.

A busy noisy place. We were close to the serving area. The meal I had. I have enjoyed elsewhere, but not here. How ever, friend I was with, seemed to enjoy their large seafood basket.

Been there many times now. Love the breakfast and dinner menu (love the mushroom breakfast dish, the lasagna and the burrata salad). Great strong coffee and they even have edible coffee cups!

Amazing coffee and awesome steak sandwich. A large area with nice big windows. Staff were welcoming and efficient.

All the food was amazing , the food take 40min but thats fine because it was so delicious. I ordered the tiramisu, the cream nice and not to sweet

Five star for the food. I had poached eggs, salmon, holonaise sauce, asparagus on a bun.
Cup of tea was hot and tasty.
Service in clearing away plates was poor. We had 4 empty breakfast plates on the table and the girl removed one, returned two minutes later and removed two more and about five minutes later came back for the last one and tea and coffee cups.
Good size meal and was only $19

Best pizza ever. Great menu. A bit noisy but probably because everyone's loving it so much.

I recently dined here, and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service was impeccable, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who made sure every detail of our meal was perfect.

Had dinner here and it was the perfect spot! Great vibes in the restaurant, top-notch service, and the food was on point. Definitely a night to remember!!!

Went there for lunch with two others.
Shared wedges and pizza.
We wanted a garden side salad, but they don't have it listed on the menu.
Unfortunately, we had to purchase a FULL priced salad meal, which added to the cost.
Other places charge around $10.50 instead of the $23.00 we had to pay..
It would be good if a garden salad could be added to the menu.

Staff are lovely. Appreciate that so much. Sets the tone. Tables are eared and cleaned promptly. Large space yet not noisy. Outdoor area streetside. Licensed café. Daily papers provided. Lovely place to have quiet time, meet for coffee or dine in with friends, family.
