Rocky Crossing

A 40 minute or so drive north of Bendigo is this gem to of a watering hole. Popular but not busy, easy parking close to the river and a variety of rocky areas to wade in. There is no infrastructure, including benches or toilets, so keep that in mind. The small weir and hood flow of water makes this ideal for bringing a lie low or tyre inner.

Wicked little spot. Locals use it for fishing and swimming but they're friendly and you can camp overnight on flat ground next to a rocky burbling river in peace and serenity. Lots of great little towns nearby. Nice spot.

Really nice spot for camping and swimming. Also saw people fishing downstream. If you are lucky some Alpacas might come and say hi.

Nice peaceful camp spot a couple of hours from Melbourne. Scenic creek. Not much gravel road to get to it and easy 2wd access.

Loved this place very quiet, not too many people, right beside the river

Love the rapids and beautiful walk along side the river. No utilities like toilet.
Tried to work from my car here, unfortunately no reception. Just 1 bar enough for texts but not calls.

Lovely little camping ground. Only 1 other camper. Had 3 very hot nights here. Nice little river rapids to paddle in. Byo fire wood. Need to be selfcontained to camp, no facilities.
