Happy little accident it was to find this place and well worth a drive in off the highway if you are heading south of Port Macquarie.
Situated right on the beach front is this lovely little cafe with spectacular views.
This place comes highly recommended.
Fresh food, great service... and did I mention the spectacular views? I did? Well.... they are worth the 10 minute drive off the highway to enjoy.
Glad I made the effort.
House made fish cakes and salad... and an apple crumble muffin to finish off with. Amazing.

The breathtaking view from the restaurant was truly unparalleled. The picturesque scenery enhanced the dining experience and made it a truly unforgettable one. The service was impeccable, with the staff being attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. They went the extra mile to ensure all our needs were met. The food was nothing short of amazing. It was expertly prepared, bursting with flavors, and beautifully presented. The menu offered a wide variety of options to cater to different tastes and dietary preferences. The ambiance of the restaurant was also top-notch, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor and lighting added to the overall charm of the place. Overall, the experience surpassed all expectations. It was a perfect blend of stunning views, outstanding service, and delectable food. The combination of these elements made for a truly remarkable dining experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an unforgettable meal with a view.

Came here for lunch to avoid the crowds in Port Macquarie. Havent been since change of ownership and had a really pleasant surprise. The service was so good and the staff very friendly. Food arrived very quickly and there was plenty of it, and the view, always worth a visit here. Maria the barista made us a lovely coffee, and the owner was very attentive to us. All up, can only give it 5 out of 5. 😀

This cafe is a bit of a local gem; it shines brightly when the light flickers on its facets but if the lights are out, you’d better just keep going. Sad really, because on every occasion I’ve had dinner at this establishment (I’m a local), the food has been A1! Last night my partner & I had some delicious fish cakes with broccolini, beans & fries. Exceptional! The service is also a bit ‘hit & miss’ with a hint of arrogance by some staff and the master of the establishment sometimes bright & cheery, and sometimes off in his own world of contemplation.
Unfortunately, opening for dinner at this cafe is somehow tied into the operation of the adjoining surf club bar, run by volunteers who don’t get paid & would rather be at home sipping sherry & watching the footy 😉. The cafe’s nighttime opening hours over the last 3-4 years have been highly irregular, which is not good for nighttime business. However, they are a cafe no less, and they open at 7am seven days a week!
My recommendation: if you’re driving past any evening & the lights are on, jump in, you won’t be disappointed.

Loved the view, the really friendly and helpful service, and the food was delicious. We helped ourselves to a bottle of cold tap water from the fridge near the entrance which was great. We ordered and paid at the counter and the food came within a short time. We’d arrived at noon and ordered shortly after arriving as we saw tables were filling fast even on a weekday for lunch. It’s a great spot to relax and prices are quite reasonable. I’ll be back.

The food was great. The chef knew exactly how I like bacon and mushrooms done. Excellent tastes.
The staff was also very friendly - controversial to what we read about this place. They must have replaced those people with nice ones. :)
And finally, beautiful view.

First time here with new management, great service, impressed with the Allpress coffee, good honest food at fair prices. I will be back as much improved over last time I was here a few years ago.
Best location overlooking the beach.
Keep up the good work guys.

What a great place. Super options for breakfast, particularly the locally baked, mini quiches, muffins and lots of other tempting offers. From Victoria, we are always impressed by the NSW surf clubs and what the offer in terms of locations and food.

So disappointing that some choose to air their derogatory thoughts on line rather than addressing them face-to-face with those with whom they have a gripe. It often expresses more about an individual going to so much written effort to convince or deter others from patronising a location. The wisdom of grandparents is an absolute blessing - ‘If you do not have something pleasing to say about another - best saying nothing at all’. The world of social media tends to blemish that sort of kindness. We have eaten at Bonnys and found their home grown cakes, coffee, and service a genuine pleasure. Support local business. It’s about the community.

Wonderful service from friendly bubbly staff who were eager to please. Especially the lovely young lady (wearing glasses) at the counter. Food options were fantastic, catering to all different tastes. The food was lovely and they made my pasta exactly the way I asked for it. We were very lucky to get a table on the balcony with beach views without a booking, but I recommend that if you want to guarantee a balcony table, you book it beforehand. Thanks again folks we will definitely be coming back.

Staff are so friendly and attentive. We came here for takeaway coffee and breakfast most days during our trip to Bonny Hills. We ate in for breakfast one day too - we had the Bacon and Eggs and they were great. The view is amazing. Have previously also been for dinner on a Friday night and it was fantastic. Great Specials board and amazing service.
