What a hidden gem at Grassy Head. The seafood was fantastic with fresh ingredients and the cheesecake and chocolate orange torte was to die for. The service was a very high standard and didn't hover around you, so made for that extra relaxing atmosphere. We will return.

Seriously a hidden gem! So happy we found this place while staying at SWR. Partner took me for my birthday and surprised me with a flower arrangement put together by one of their staff (you can order them ahead with your booking at HMK)

Beautiful little home style place, with a beautiful little fire place and cosy ambience.
The service was excellent and made my birthday dinner very special!

Food was so so SO good could not fault anything at all it was delicious!
The Tasmanian scallops were unreal!
Partner had the kangaroo special and I had the steak, both were cooked to perfection to the point my partner kept inspecting his kangaroo to see if it was actually kangaroo, because “there is no way you can cook it this perfectly”
Cocktails were on par with the food, The lemon myrtle mojito was definitely a favourite of mine!

I just want to plan the next excuse for a holiday just so I can come eat here again 🤤

We went to this quaint little hidden gem for dinner with friends to finish up our holidays and we were blown away with the food. I could have ordered everything on their menu. There was lots of local and native ingredients packed into their meals. The meals where presented lovely . Their wine list was big with plenty to choose from to go with the delicious food. We even had a beautiful liqueur to end the night with a native chocolate truffle. I will definitely be going back next year when we are back up enjoying our holidays.

We come here every time we visit Grassy Head-maybe 3-4 times a year. A highlight of our holiday. Always beautiful food, with something for everyone to enjoy, and impeccable service. We recommend this restaurant to anyone, just book in early via the website as it’s always pleasingly full-a sign of it’s outstanding reputation.

Such a wonderful place with exceptional service and food with friendly laid back staff. Prices are are so good for what you get and the wine list is very affordable. I’ve given it 5 stars for food because the food is wonderful, but by all means it’s no Vue de monde, but I’m also not paying $800 for two.

Can’t recommend this place enough.

We we’re there at dinner time and arrived in the dark but I get the feeling the surrounding location would have been so nice for a lunch. We’ll just have to come back😀. K

Highly recommend this for anyone visiting the Scotts Head area. Food was thoroughly enjoyable - seafood was fresh and the steak was as good as anywhere. Great service from a gentleman who is a local in Scotts, friendly and very accomodating. Really impressive menu and a great dining experience for our family. We'll be back.

Amazing delicious modern Australian cuisine. The restaurant is an oasis surrounded by beautiful bush with a cosy modern feel inside. The woodfire sets the ambiance and an Espresso Martini tops it all off. Highly recommended.

I had a lovely dinner great service and very yummy food. Plus nice environment I thought I was in the Daintree at one point.

What a delicious meal and outstanding service. The Kitchen Platter was divine and the oyster pâté was a stand out. Highly recommend Hot Myrtle Kitchen!

Love dining at Hot Myrtle. Service is excellent, friendly staff, very reasonably priced wine menu and the food is delicious using fresh, wholesome ingredients.

It was a real treat going here. Every one of the dishes were outstanding. The staff were really nice and welcoming for an introverted person by themselves like me. The dessert was especially delicious, as was this little juice lemonade thingy.

This restaurant would have to be one of the best on the Mid North Coast. A pleasant dining experience for everyone with a different and interesting menu along with friendly attentive staff.Each time we have come the standard of food and service have been outstanding!

Exceptional food and service. Their scallop dish is second to none!!!! We initially ordered 1 serve of scallops and then ended up ordering another 4 plates of scallops. Can't wait to come back :-)

Probably some of the best food we have ever eaten, in any part of the world. We shared the tasting platter, not one thing was average. It was all amazing as well as the seared king fish in Laksa, noodle broth. The side of chats was outstanding. All in a beautiful setting, surrounded by bush. Thanks for the lovely experience.

Our table of six thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Such a tempting menu it was hard for us all to choose. Everyone so enjoyed their meals. Your food is delicious. Really good food. Such a beautiful location also. Great friendly but relaxed cheery service. Can’t wait to return
