Joadja Heritage Tours

You need to book a tour if you want to visit the historic site/ruins, they run about twice a month on Saturdays. The tour is very informative and quite fun on the special trolleys. The owners are doing a great job with this piece of history in their garden, go support them!

A great tour and well priced. Cant wait for the self guided version (hopefully in a couple of years). A lot to see and great work on conserving some of the buildings 👌. The tours only run a few times a year at present so get on their mailing list for notifications about when they are on. The distillery is open most weekends though and the cafe so still worth a visit

Highly recommend to visit. They have their own distillery with awesome Gins, Whiskey and Bourbon made on site. The Ghost town and it's ruins are well worth looking at. The history is amazing

No tours any more due to hike in insurance / local government laws etc , such a pity , a serene very pretty habitat , would definitely suit cabins to rent . however you can have a tour / talk in the Distillery , weekends only . Ve r y interesting / informative . Available for sale and tasting , Brandy , Gin , whisky , Ouzo and sherry . Toilet facilities , shelter shed , picnic tables ( only to use on guided tour and catered for by owners of land including historic town of Joadja .) . Joadja site was made by the miners who used the shale to make kerosene .
Well worth a visit , support an Aussie venture!!!

This was our 6th visit to the Ghost Town, such a wonderful place with the best hosts you could ask for. The food is truly excellent

Was such a lovely distillery owned by a lovely couple. Definitely made everyone feel welcome and will be making a trip back for that incredible gin!

Had a blast going on the tour of the old mining town (and the distillery). The owner has a great interest and passion for the town and is attempting to restore and preserve what is left.
