Great spot on the river. Nice maintained roads, toilets, water and dump point. Plenty of spots easily fit 30 vans.

Fantastic free camp LG level grassed toilets flushing n dump point. Only need permit for extended stays. Boat ramp canoe launch on river. Elmore 5 ks ,Rochester 10ks away have everything traveler needs.rochester silo art n awesome sports memorabilia museum, old architectural buildings n murals , Elmore fantastic rural discovery museum at visitor information centre.

Great free camp, very pretty spot. Well maintained by council or shire.
Don't know that the fishing here is very good, though. Flies & mozzies were a distraction. But evening camp-fire was lovely.

Top spot for camping thanks to the local council. It is greatly appreciated by many self contained campers. There are toilets and a dump point all very clean. Do your shopping in Rochester or Elmore before heading to the camp site. Also please take your rubbish back out with you. Every bit of support helps all campers.

One of my favourite campsite to go to. It's free, has flash toilets and running tap water but not for drinking; also bring your own toilet paper and hand wash. Lots of birds, esp. white cockatoos. Amazing! Clean and quite. Please take rubbish with your. There's a small little town about 15 mins drive, called Rochester - there's a grain mill silo there (massive wall art painting). Campsite is great for kayaking and swimming.

Very popular place on Australia day 2020, yet very relaxing and peaceful. Toilets were mostly clean and respected by 99% of campers. Popular with people of all age groups from young families to grey nomads. Has a boat ramp. Happy to recommend as we will be back again.

First time back here in ages. Still a lovely peaceful place. Noisy bird life tho. The river is a bit lower and not running like it used to, doesn't look that inviting anymore. Toilet facilities good. Quite busy atm, but still plenty of room to spread out.

Free camp just a few km from Rochester by the Campaspe River. Corellas are very noisy, but amazing to watch them flying in massive flocks. Toilets are functional and reasonable (BYO toilet paper).

Great free camp. Large open area that can fit loads of caravans. Clean flushing toilets and a dump point. Excellent river views. Quite and no real traffic noise at night.

Only stayed the one night and had a great day and peaceful nights sleep

Great spot heaps of vans there was surprised very hot day was about 36 we slept in our swag under the stars clean toilets and nice and quiet

Came here late November. Toilets were out of order 😟. Very quiet. Only 3 campers. Lovely spot. Can fish and swim here.

Great free camp area. Flushing toilets, clean but stained by minerals from the river water. Don't complain. If you want a caravan park there is one in Elmore and Rochester. One of the best free camp areas that I have been to.

Very nice facilities. Directly on the road, so no problem rolling in at night late. The river is easy accessible and there is a boat ramp in case you want to go fishing with a small boat and do some trolling. The temperature can drop quite significantly over night in the spring, autumn and winter. A warm sleeping bag is very helpful. Ideal spot for backpackers or work and travel folk.
