Rockingham Aquatic Centre

I'm in a wheelchair and found it was absolutely beautiful there and accessible. Sitting under a tree in dappled light was fabulous.

Fabulous afternoon at this awesome swimming pool today . Staff are very welcoming and friendly and fabulous facilities. Green grass areas with lots of shade and pools for every age and swimming ability. Great inflatable in the big pool . Kids loved it .

Our 1st time here and what a great place. We had our moko 1st birthday here and would have many more parties here

Clean, big and separate pools for babies and bigger babies 😃 only one problem, they should keep the school swimming lessons to one side and allow the public the other side (full length). Great spot.

My kids love going there! It's clean, no sand, you can choose between sunny and shady spots. There's a little playground for in between water sessions to warm up and maybe have some ice cream for a treat. The only issue for me as a parent with 3 children under 6 is I can't always control my children to stay near me and I feel like a criminal because of it 😅 I've been told off before that my kids were out of my reach, but it's a juggling act and it is quite stressful (my non swimming kids wear floaties, I do not want my kids to drown) Also as a German I'm used to waterslides in public pools, even for little ones, or waterfall type things, I'm missing a bit more action for the kids...anyway, I still recommend this place as a nice change from the hot and sandy beach.

Love this place. Staff are friendly, grounds are clean and tidy, family friendly facilities and value for money! Just need to bring back the canteen with hot chips, I hate having to traipse next door to get my pool chips fix hehe

Great place with a nice play area for kids!! Went with my grandkids haven't been there in years since my kids were little!! Worth going to!!

Lovely clean outdoor pool for when you want to catch up with friends and family. It would be good if they could have more than one BBQ.. what I would like to hit on is the inflatable slide ( they bring out for a birthday party) why can't it be set up permanently to encourage more families to come to the pool? Why, once the parents have paid for their children to swim, do they then have to pay again for the children to go on the slide? The cost starts to mount up especially if you have more than 1 child !!!

Love this pool been going for years and it’s a beautiful atmosphere with trees and families having picnics & BBQ’s. Thank you to all, for our work partitioning to keep it open years ago. 👍

Love the facilities, always clean and well maintained. Staff are friendly, only issue I have is people blatantly disrespecting everyone by smoking cigarettes around the corner near wheelchair toilet....

Outdoor pool is warm and inviting. The surrounds kept clean and green. Thanks to the regular mowing contractor.
Plenty shady trees and outdoor barbies to BBQ on.
A regular visitor like me over the years can vouch for the 10 ducklings to mum and dad duck. A treat for the kids.

A really nice pool for all activities. With a pool for children, as well as your standard 50m pool for diving and laps.
Also a spot to get snacks and refreshments and to sit and eat. All outdoors and a fun place to go to cool down!

Looks dodgy when driving by, but when you go in it's like an oasis. Lots of lovely big shade trees over the lawned areas, 2 very large shallow pools ( the paddling section has a shade sail) and an Olympic pool. Small playground for kids when they're out of the water and barbecue areas. A really fantastic family day out. Take your own food as the canteen it really has drinks and icreams.

Nice, spacious with reasonable amount of tree shade.
Some trees have quite prickly nuts that they shed on the grass near the fence. So don't go barefoot around there.

BBQ's available - clean and work well.

3 pool areas - 1 that's just over ankle deep fully shaded - for toddlers and people who just want to dip their toes. Joined next to it but with a toddler proof barrier is a shallow pool for young swimmers (adult supervision required).
Last, completely separate is a deep at one end pool (about 3m) with lanes for regular swimmers.

Neither of these last 2 is shaded. However, there is shaded bench seating/ toweling down area at 1 end.

Toilets and baby change facility are just inside the entrance.
The kiosk sells a few icey poles as well as entrance tickets.

Nice, polite, pleasant staff. Reasonable sized carpark adjacent.
Couldn't fault it.

The grounds and pools are very well maintained. The staff from the kiosk to the lifeguards are very friendly. I haven't been here for many years but will definitely be back

They've recently repainted and have done some work around the place and it looks great! Pools were warm and pleasant to swim in, even on a cold overcast day. Really love this pool.

Love the outdoor pools in the summer. It's so refreshing to Come for a swim. Pools are always really nice and clean. There's plenty of shaded area for your picnic and a play park also.

Great local swimming pool with loads of pool space, grassed area, seats and even a playground!

So nice to be able to exetvise in the fresh air in the fantastic grounds of the Rocky pool. Lawns, bbq's, picnic benches. A really good family place. Love it.😊
