Goolwa River Retreat

We have a fantastic family weekend away! Location was just unbeatable. We spent so much time down on the river with the kids. Unit 2 was so comfortable and had space to have a family of 4 with two small kids in there. All the kitchen amenities needed to make sure you have a hot coffee in the morning.

Rob and Nicole made the trip so easy and we were well looked after.

Quick 20 min trip into town to get everything you need if you run out.

Stayed here for four nights in Feb 2024, and loved absolutely everything about the place. The accommodation was spacious, clean and very well equipped. The hosts, Rob and Nicole could not have been more helpful, thank you.
If you're looking for somewhere with unspoilt, serene beauty that teems with wildlife, then in my opinion this is the perfect retreat. Beautiful riverside walk too, highly recommend the walks at first and last light. Twenty-minute drive to Echuca, so not too far to pick up supplies and enjoy the beauty that is Echuca.
Can't fault the place, the accommodation or the hospitality. We will be back. Thank you.

Stayed 3 nights at this beautiful green oasis.
The cabin was well appointed and loved the outdoor bath. We used the spa on cool through the day and a beautiful warm spa at night.
All spotlessly clean. Lovely sitting having a cocktail down on the pontoon watching the changing colours of the sky and the reflections in the river.

We chose Goolwa River Retreat for our accomodation for our wedding. Our stay was absolutely incredible. Rob and Nicole were extremely communicable in preparation before our stay, they were accomodating with requests and made our experience stress free and personable. I highly recommend staying at Goolwa for any holiday occasion. The accommodation was warm and well equipped with everything we needed. We will definitely be back! Thank you again, Nicole and Rob.

We were here for a wedding over cup weekend and it was beautiful. Nicole and Rob were both so accomodating and lovely throughout the entire stay. Great river access too!

The new management is nothing short of amazing. I attended for a wedding and it turned out to be the most beautiful event all thanks to the owners and workers of the venue that assured everything went smoothly. They went above and beyond for everyone and I could not recommend this and them enough!!

Beautiful location. Pontoon on river is gorgeous. Hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely stay. Accommodation was fantastic. Extremely clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. We will definitely go back and would highly recommend.

The accommodation is 10 out 10, Beds are comfortable, there is nothing they have left out. Views of Murray are awesome. Floating pontoon is amazing Place is clean and tidy. Highly recommend 😊😊

Thanks to the owners Rob & Nicole for sharing your piece of paradise. Goolwa River Retreat exceeded expectations with its’ amazing river frontage and deluxe cabins with private spas. It has a peaceful vibe yet close to Echuca for restaurants, wineries, golf and other activities.

What more can you ask for ! The Murray river is right on your door step . We waterskied and used the kayaks to simply paddle and take in the serinty . The best sunsets and star gazing

What a find! Had a wonderful stay over 3 nights. Very clean and well appointed accommodation with a very comfortable bed. The floating pontoon is fantastic and provides a peaceful place to read a book and go swimming off. Highly recommend this beautiful property.

A huge thankyou to Rob and Nicole for letting us stay in your accommodation. You have gone above and beyond. Absolutely the best 3 night holiday that my family and l have ever had. The house was over and beyond words. So quite and just pure bliss. I highly recommend this to everyone who just needs to get away from everything. I had such a wonderful holiday with catching my first ever fish too from the pontoon. It was sad to say goodbye. Once again thankyou for your hospitality and we hope to see soon.

Fantastic place to get away. Plenty to do from wetting a line on the private pontoon to canoeing, walking and biking track along the river or kicking back in the heated spa.
We stayed in the new Cottage #2 which was excellent. The hosts were great.
We had a very relaxing time and we’ll be back in the future for sure!

What a beautiful little spot, enjoyed the relaxing environment. Went for a canoe up the river that was supplied, caught fish and shrimp from the floating jetty and gazed at the stars from the spa. The hosts were friendly and we want to adopt the dog Ted. Perfect stay

New owners were great really friendly and accomodating. They let us borrow bikes to go for a cycle along the Murray. Cabin was very clean and had all the ammenities. Great relaxing spot.
