Steiglitz Cemetery.

Lots of history when gold was found in the 1800s from the old pioneer days, both in the cemetrery and the little town of Steiglitz Victoria

I mean, it's a cemetery... Not much to say really. The tenants are very quiet. Altho, would be nice if someone came in and professionally cleaned up the older headstones. Cleared away some shrubs and made it so you could read them. Lots of history and sobering reading of the young children that have passed. Walking through there makes you appreciate your own life more.

You can feel Australia history, the oldest headstone that is legible states 1872, reminds us where we started from

A place to review the history of the area right through to today. Some residents have been here since 1869, back during the Gold Rush days.
There is a historic Cemetery in town next to the old church and it was moved to this site back in the 1860’s.
