This place is wonderful. Really delicious and fresh, high quality food at a very affordable price. We couldn’t believe how cheap the drinks were so we probably had a few more than we should have, but from the battered prawns starter to the sticky date pudding everything was perfect. The staff are also incredibly helpful and friendly and the venue is quite nice, especially the outdoor seating area. Can’t fault a thing from our dinner here and it’s easy to see why this place has such great reviews. This will be my go to next time I’m back in Hepburn/ Daylesford. Well done Rubens!

An unassuming, hole-in-the-wall kind of a place!
Beautiful people and delicious food. I savored the Fennel and Goat cheese salad which was light and refreshing. For my main-dish I had the Spaghetti Marinara, it was flavorful and a perfect pair with a glass of (Cat out of the bag) Pinto Noir.
I highly recommended this place for a casual dinner.

What a gem of a find. We were quite a large group of people, service was excellent and quick with meals, food was very fresh and tasty. I had Dijon Chicken and donuts. There were other various dishes which looked fab. Highly recommend as you can go for a drive if you’re coming from Melbourne and it’s easy to find. Staff were lovely and very accommodating. A number of gluten free options available

Absolutely delicious. Visited Daylesford 4 times over the past 3 years. Each time, we have visited Rubens. We have been groups of 4,6 and 10. Every entree, main and desert has been outstanding for what you pay. I can’t go pasta the Salmon fettuccine! We have also ordered pizza, chicken seafood, choccie mousse and more. Highly recommended 6 people spent just over $300 including deinks!

Had a great experience here. We ordered the soup special which was sweet potato and pumpkin. It was really yummy. It came with garlic bread which was also good. We had risotto pomodoro for the main and a marinara pasta both were huge and tasty. Our service was excellent . This is a family type restaurant. We would return and recommend

I walked in for lunch solo, and I was accommodated quickly and efficiently. Customer service was great.

The Sicilian pasta was beautifully cooked and mouthwatering 10/10.

We discovered this “pearl” of the mountain by accident. The beautiful food kept us coming back for more. This restaurant where we spent two wonderful nights gave us a very big surprise. Delicious food and super friendly service.

The packed food we ordered here is still very good to sustain us through an early morning without breakfast. We will consider returning to this place because of this restaurant, and are looking forward to meeting the staff again in the near future!

We decided to order take away on this occasion. The food was ready when promised and the quality was exceptional. Entered the restaurant to collect the food and it had a welcoming, family warm atmosphere. Staff were very friendly. When placing the order on the phone, the staff member who took my order was very helpful.
Will definitely return next time I am in the area (and will make the effort dine in). Pizza were very tasty and the Spaghetti Marinara was exquisite.

Apon entering the venu the staff were very welcoming 🙂 vineet the waiter was very friendly great customer service. The food was absolutely amazing great presentation and taste devine i had the Dijon chicken probably the best cooked not dry what so ever the most succulent cooked that ive had at a restaurant my partner had the pasta that was on the takeaway menu and was accomated as she loves more than the normal amount of spice ! The doughnuts are a must try. If your ever are in the area check it out 🙂

What can I say. Everything about this place is amazing. The ambience and the food was so yum!! The service was wonderful too. We had our anniversary dinner here and they brought our desserts out with candles. It was such a lovely touch. Thank you so much to the young man who served us, he was friendly and attended to us amazingly. Thanks again for a great night.

Great selection of dishes here, the few that we were able to fit in on the night were excellent, and there were several others that we would love to come back and try.

Sitting in the dining room we saw many bulk orders of pizzas churning out the door, and suspect that these going to be worth trying too.

Tasty dishes and friendly service. During holidays season, it's better to book ahead. We missed out last year. The chicken and seafood was really delicious and the chilli pizza is a must if you like spicy food.

Beautiful food, well presented and very, very tasty. Great friendly service and reasonably priced. If you enjoy Italian food it's definitely worth a visit,

Rubens @ Hepburn is totally killing it with their lip-smacking pizzas! 😋🍕
Had their Vegetarian pizza with vegan cheese. The toppings they used were garden-fresh, the crust was super delicious and the sauces they used were divine.

Sicilian Spaghetti and Vegetarian Lasagna are also something I would highly recommend to everyone, especially vegetarians.

Also had their Crumbed Arancini in starters and loved it too. Had a refreshing drink but forgot the name(please refer to the images).

The service we received was so amazing and super quick. Had no idea what to order but server Muskan made it easy with her great recommendations.

Delicious gnocci 🤤🤤🤤 Would have loved to sit outside but there were no fans and it was semi under cover and so hot. Service was great and food was delicious

Want to say just one word PERFECT!!!!!!!! But want to share my enriched experience as have wanted to visit this restaurant for a year but when I have tried to book - sorry - booked out - got on the phone a week before our intended dinner, and voila! - got a table.

The décor is beautiful and elegant. The service is of a very high quality, with just the right amount of attention.

Three of the party had the Pasta, and from the empty plates I could tell there were no complaints. Two had the Sicilian Spaghetti - again - no complaints. I had the pasta and veg pizza - beautifully cooked by chef Vineet.

Desserts were sought and plundered - again - no complaints and very satisfied diners.

For a really great fine dining experience with good food and service - Rubens’ lives up to the perceived reputation for a highly desirable dining experience - just one advise BOOK EARLY!!!

We arrived quite close to their closing time, but they were still very happy to seat us and provided excellent service.

The food was enjoyable and reasonably priced for a tourist area. They’ve got a fireplace and a nice open dining area.
