We went there for a Sunday lunch and it was exceptional! The food is great, and the owners are super friendly. Beautiful farm and water views while enjoying your meal on the outdoor deck 👌 Highly recommend. Be sure to book to ensure you get a table as they tend to be busy.

Thankyou for a delicious fireside menu at Lake Moodemere Estate. Sarah took good care of us, ensuring we had plenty of drinks, were warm and enjoying our dishes. The 16hr Lamb Scotch with carrot, beetroot, yoghurt, pea and raspberry, jus was gorgeous and well worth the wait. The Thai Pumkin Soup ingedients of coconut, corriander, pepitas and chilli is how all Pumkin Soups should be made. And the Coffee Panna Cotta, so delicate and lovely, is how I made it home. Thank you we enjoyed immensely 🌴

Had a delightful lunch and wine tasting here today. Food and wine were delicious and the service exceptional. The setting is tranquil and sitting outside we were able to enjoy the view and sound of many birds. Highly recommend this experience and look forward to returning when next in the area.

A quick stop at Lake Moodemere Estate gave us another tasting experience of local wines. Their wines are excellent and dominent flavour fruit driven, and the sparkling Durif was sensational. With a bottle, purchased, and comfy chairs overlooking the lake was a great way to pass an hour under the trees surounding the winery. The next visit will be for lunch.

Our lunch at Lake Moodemere Estate was beyond our expectations. How lucky were we that it was a quiet Monday. We had the place to ouselves, personal service from Kurt, the Estate's awesome chef bringing our food and explaining its origins from paddock to our plates, truly an experience. Food was beautiful. We also did a wine tasting 😋 and Sheree's knowledge and easy conversation made for a great afternoon. We highly recommend a visit, you will not be sorry. Thanks for a great day Lake Moodemere Estate.

We recently hosted our wedding at Lake Moodemere Estate, and it was the venue of our dreams. Our ceremony took place under a beautiful shady tree, with our guests looking out over the lake. We were treated to the most incredible food - I cannot tell you how many compliments we have had about the food!!! We can’t thank LME enough for making our wedding perfect.

The lakeside views are almost as good as the sparkling Duriff which accompanied the winemakers platter. Great food, great service and entertaining wine tasting.

The food was EXCELLENT . The staff were knowledgeable , friendly & very accommodating. We ( contrary to another review) loved the slow eating. It gave us time to talk , unwind and truly appreciate each exquisite course matched with perfect wine in a dreamy environment. The food portions were generous unlike many places these days . The Moodemere lamb was succulent and full of flavour.

This was our second visit to this gorgeous family Estate near Rutherglen. We didn’t have a booking as we were just passing through the area but were warmly welcomed and promptly seated on a cosy table near the open fire.
The hospitality, food and wine were all first class - we chose the $65 per person 2 course menu and shared an entree, the mains and a dessert accompanied by a couple of glasses of the Old Vine Hazard Shiraz (perfection in a glass!).

The Chambers family members were gathered for Sunday lunch but still took the time to chat with us to enhance our experience. Dining in what was formerly the family home is like being embraced in a warm hug of the generational history of these passionate farmers and winemakers. Salute’ 🍷

My partner and I had a lovely lunch here last year, and we're planning on stopping by again during our next road trip. The lamb dish was certainly memorable - so tender and flavourful. We also really enjoyed being in the beautiful scenery and watching the farm animals roaming about.

Beautiful, peaceful setting along the Murray River, friendly and informative staff and wonderful food, along with friendly and great service. We selected via a QR code, items from the menu for a grazing platter and it was all delicious. We started our lazy Sunday afternoon with some wine tasting, presented by Michael the owner and winemaker.
Highly recommended establishment.

Yesterday, Saturday the 4th of October I enjoyed the most beautiful lunch at Lake Moodemere with family. Even our 4 year old was impressed.
Fortunately we rang about an hour before we intended to arrive as every table was booked for lunch. Such a popular spot.
The venue offers sensational country hospitality and a wonderful garden setting to dine in.
It was an absolute pleasure to be served by the family, and greeted by the wine makers in the tasting room.

I’m not sure who they have in the kitchen, but the food was fantastic with a very exciting and on trend menu. Offering small and large items as well as the option to build your own tasting plate which was great for sharing.

Thank you for the fantastic hospitality, we will absolutely be back.

Wanting to visit? Do your selves a favour, don’t call in here expecting a cafe environment with a 15min turn around. This is an experience. From the lake view, to the garden, the wines, the food, the free range chickens and dogs... this is really something worth taking the time to enjoy. Don’t rush it.

Five stars isn't enough to give this estate it's just perfect in all respects. The food is amazing the staff are lovely and the grounds are beautiful. It's the perfect place to enjoy the top shelf wines they produce and relax in the gardens with family and friends. The lake is a stunning backdrop for daydreaming but if being a little more active it's your thing then you can try your hand at the single shot golf driving range challenge, which involves driving off the high bank into a floating green in the lake. It's hands down my favorite winery in the region.

Absolutely beautiful setting for a winery with a picturesque view of the lake. Homely and relaxed vibes. Delicious lunch and wine, friendly service. Personally loved the nectarine tart with vanilla bean ice cream!

Amazing weekend! We stayed in the lake house, which was incredibly comfortable and relaxing. We ordered in dinner from the restaurant one night and brekky one day. Food was delicious. Wine delicious. And the fresh hot croissant delivered to our door was a delightful part of our brekky. We will be back.

We stayed had overnight in the lakeside cabin and wished we had more time at this beautiful spot. We hired bikes and rode around the lake which was a wonderful way to explore the surrounds. The scenery was beautiful, food was delicious and the wine was great. I can't wait to come back again (for longer!)

My Dad and I had a lovely long lunch at Lake Moodemere Estate a few weeks ago. It was a working lunch and was made so pleasant by the beautiful surroundings and delicious food on offer. The 5 course tasting lunch were perfectly proportioned and timed, and had some beautiful flavours throughout. The service was friendly and accomodating, and the chef did a great job adapting the menu for a Coeliac, with good understanding of cross contamination. Would love to visit again when we are in the area next holiday.

Rutherglen's jewel Lake Moodemere Estate has one if the best lunch's in the region. positioned near the creek the outdoor seating is relaxing and enjoyable .
The food and service are excellent we had the Bar menu unfortunately we didn't have time for the 5 course lunch but this will be a must for us when we return.
Great to see a well run family business performing so well the wine and food is of the highest quality.
