Golden Beach Picnic Area

Beautiful beach which is easy to access.

There are plenty of car park lots available but it can get quite busy on a nice sunny day.

There are toilets available across the road which are clean and usable.

Beware of broken seashells all over the place which can hurt the feet.

Nice little picnic spot with the beach on the other side of the treeline. Covered free BBQ area that was spotlessly clean when we visited, with several tables and benches undercover. Toilets are just across the road a short distance away. Views of the 90 mile beach and Bass Strait with Oil Rigs in the distance from a raised walkway suitable for disabled. Stairway down to the beach if you want to get closer to the water or go fishing.

A place where you can reconnect with nature and recharge your life.

Quiet, long, natural white sand beach in the 90 miles beach area. Perfect blue water, not too cold. Extremely clean. Slope is a bit more hence need caution, especially for nonswimmers and children. The slope though, gives chance for sand boarding.
Amenities for car parking, bbq, covered space and public convenience provided. Eating joints in nearby places. Good experience

Nice "Golden" beach. Lovely in the hot or cold. Surreal in the rain.

A solitary place. You'll probably get the beach all for yourself if you're traveling on a week day. And damn its beautiful..!! It's worth the drive.

Beautiful wild coastline.

A stunning and clean beach, beautiful sand, rough sea with lots of rips. A fantastic place to sit back on the sand and enjoy the moment, truly serene. Unless you sprain your ankle at 12am on the step where it turns from bitumen to sand and cant walk for a day, that does spoil the mood. But other than that specific experience, a truly beautiful stretch of ocean, except for the rips, be cautious when swimming. Still worth a visit

Peaceful and relaxing location during current off peak period. Nice 3 hour drive from Melboure on a sunny day. Always recommended short break from civilisation...

We visited the place in early march. Just stayed a couple minutes and took some pictures as it was a very windy day! But the view is really amazing.
