The Vault

This is one of the best cafes I have set foot in. The food and coffee were amazing, but the atmosphere is outstanding. The old bank building has been done out in the most wonderful detail. The toilet is the Vault. Look closely at the photos to see what I mean. It's a must visit.

Had drink outside after a long walk. They have a long drinks list and are glad to see most are tassie brands.
Sitting outside overlooking the Guttridge Garden, sipping a cocktail and downing an IPA, is pretty special.

Back for dinner and it was a delightful experience.
We had the pork belly which was a beautiful huge slab of goodness, well cooked lamb rump, amazingly presented duck leg and the linguine was freshly constructed.

Great! But you must go to the bathroom! Even if you don't have to pee - you must see this masterpiece! Unfortunately, the photo does not do it justice! The coffee was sensational, and the sunny outside deck overlooking the river is gold! Book a table in advance on busy days!

This is an Epic cafe set in an old bank. The atmosphere is amazing with the Safe hosting the Bathroom where you have to turn the Vault handle to display the Engaged sign. Old Pennies are set in resin on the floor instead of tiles. The other memorabilia on display adds to the cafe's uniqueness. Coffee was good, the food delicious and the service exceptional.

Funky repurposed old bank. Make sure to check out the bathroom and all the Penny's in the floor. Great food at a premium price.

This place is a hidden gem. Loved all the dishes that we ordered, wonderful hospitality. Also loved the interior decor and the cozy atmosphere. Nothing bad to say about it!

The Vault Cafe and Bar opened in 2018 after my last trip to Tasmania. I am so glad I found it this time around. The food is fantastic and inventive, the pricing is great for the quality of the meals received. The staff are very friendly and efficient in their service of customers. I’ve been coming to the North West of Tasmania since 2006 and this place has provided me with the best restaurant quality food thus far. I highly recommend visiting this place if you travel through Wynyard. My pricing reflects a three course meal with a couple of cocktails and a coffee to finish off. Needless to say I ate too much but it was so good.

The most delicious, delightful meal. From risotto, to calamari, to entrees, all swiftly serviced and enjoyed. Exceptional service, staff above and beyond any we have had for a while. Well done. See you again soon.

Awesome cafe, very friendly, delicious food with a great selection of meals (we went for breakfast), the bathroom is photo worthy and so is the food!! Very clever!!! Loved it!! Highly recommended. Thank you for a great experience.

Honestly the best food, service and atmosphere along the North West coast!!! The meals are not only beautifully presented but are full of fresh ingredients and also, a BONUS, all the meals are affordable, very good value for money. My husband and I have dined here with friends quite a few times over yhe past 2 years and we have never been disappointed. The coffee, cakes and juices are also fabulous!!! And the service is second to none. Thank you The Vault 👍👏👏

Very classy take on a modern pub. Came in early Friday afternoon, and they fit the 2 of us in.
Food was awesome, cocktail selection huge, and very polite and attentive staff.
But if you go Make Sure You Book!! We have 3 other groups walk in and not be so fortunate because it appears to book up quick!
Do yourself a favour. Book it. Do it. Just do it. You won't regret it.

It should be listed as a tourist spot! Very special interior and nicely decorated. Apparently it’s very popular among locals. The coffee was perfect. The quality of food is even better than most of those cafes I have tried in Melbourne. You can expect proper authentic Egg Benedict or Spanish baked eggs there. Go and have a visit if you are travelling to North Western part of Tassie!

The food was a real experience, a great menu. The smaller sized meal was a good size for me. The desserts were divine. Loved the wall of books either side of the original fireplace. And the conveniences just have to be experienced! Exceptional!

Spectacular atmosphere that I wouldn’t imagine such a gem been tucked in Wynyard! The food was number one with many varieties of desserts that you can choose. The prices are reasonably good 👍🏻 AND a special THANKS to the staff, you guys are doing great.
I love THE VAULT and I recommend everyone who can to visit it.

Lovely space, excellent service by Kat. She made the evening. She even made a margherita for me which is not on the cocktail list. Seafood platter was fresh and delicious, a 2nd fish on the platter would have improved it as we were still hungry so ordered dessert.

The Vault! You could be forgiven for thinking you were sitting in a trendy Cafe in Melbourne or Canberra. It's a relaxing and very popular cafe/restaurant, easily accessible and prominently located as you enter Wynyard. Their coffee is excellent.

It's our 21yr anniversary and my husbands birthday. So to celebrate, we chose to be here at The Vault. Amazing food, big portions. Great range of wines, and whiskys. We had a wonderful evening

Oh man these potato croquettes were SO damm good!
Staff were lovely and the food was delicious and reasonably priced.
Make sure to stop in if you can!
