Eagles Nest Retreat

We stayed at the loft and had the private massage and the private chef, Cynthia. Which was amazing! We were both blown away. My partner and I sat out in the bath until late at night drinking wine watching the stars and chatting. It was an amazing experience.

Celebrated my birthday with 3 nights here including Chef Nick who cooked a 3 course dinner and then the next day both of us had a massage. Views to die for and especially from the outdoor spa. Definitely recommend.

We recently returned from one of the best long weekends ever in spectacular Eagles Nest. We chose Nest III and were in awe as soon as we drove into the property. Its location opposite the moody mountain (mirrored in the dam) is stunning and the house orientation ensures it is always in view. Both bedrooms face the mountain and the dining table is sunken to ensure views can be enjoyed from the kitchen and living area. The outdoor milk vat tub is sublime and a highlight of our stay. Seeing the Milky Way stretch out overhead in these clear skies was spellbinding. The inclusions are generous (bread, fresh eggs, yoghurt, homemade jam, bacon, milk, crisps, crackers, cheese, truffles, wine, etc.), there is ample firewood, the beds have electric blankets, and the indoor spa tub is fabulous. As if the property wasn't heavenly enough, you can also opt to add a massage (Helen was wonderful!). Highly recommend the option of a chef as Nick Sallese is such a warm and welcoming soul; he shared so much local history and created DELICIOUS dishes using local produce. A magical part of the world and we cannot wait to return.

We absolutely loved our stay here. I described it as HEAVEN and it was an amazing break for this busy business owner.
Apart from a stunning view, it was just so nice to enjoy sheer quietness offered by the location. Our son adored the farm animals (chooks and cows) and he had plenty of space to run around and play or lay in the hammock and relax. We loved the outdoor bath with a wine and again THAT amazing view. A perfect injection of fresh air and farm life was had. My only regret was that we didn't take up the service of the private chef or book in a massage during our stay.
We loved that we had the option to go for a day trip to Cradle Mountain or choose to stay in and chill out by the fire. Loved the breakfast provisions and that Sheffield is just a 5 min drive away for anything else we needed for our stay.
Safe to say we will definitely be returning and envisage this amazing place being a yearly getaway for us and our family/friends.

Des and Sheree have an amazing property here which you must visit if you want a place away from the tourist rat runs. The serenity is unbelievable, we stayed 3 nights but wish we had stayed longer. The photos don’t do it justice.

So many highlights but our top few would be the hammocks overlooking the beautiful vistas, the milk vat bath and then the optional private masseuse!

Des and Sheree were incredible hosts. They allowed us to postpone our trip without any cost when our travel plans were interrupted due to Covid and were very friendly and responsive in our communication with them. They also stocked the fridge full, and I mean FULL of complimentary goodies, we didn’t need to buy much for our stay!

I can’t wait to visit again. Thank you Des and Sheree!

We spent a week in TAS and this is our most unforgettable experience. The house is located in front of beautiful Mt Roland and the room is stuffed with excellent choices from local produce, we just do not want to leave! If you are staying here, do not miss the private chef dinner with Catherine, the best dinner we have in TAS :)

Absolutely loved our stay at Eagles Nest Retreat. We stayed in the loft and didn’t want to leave. The view was amazing and we loved the hot tub.

Not sure where to begin. The rooms were incredibly well appointed and the beds were perfect. The views of Mt. Roland and the grounds were made to unwind. The owners could not have been more accommodating. It really hurt to leave. Where’s the sixth star when you need it?!?

A beautiful, relaxing place with views to die for. Well appointed with everything you need to relax and unwind, plus Sheffield a quick drive away for provisions.

We really enjoyed our stay in Nest 3 and we will be back!

We had an extremely pleasant experience at Eagles Nest 2. The owners are very friendly and accommodating
The property has 4 bathtubs spa and wood heater, very comfortable and spacious, the furniture and decoration are very individual and have a strong influence from arts and craft.
You can see the Mt Roland from every room in the property.
The Eagle Nest is located in a quiet place surrounded by nature so you don't need to go anywhere else! Relaxing, spacious, private
No doubt when I return to Tasmania I will stay in the same place. I strongly recommend to everyone to have the same experience. Thank you very much

We just spent 3 nights in Eagles Nest 3. It was perfect. Couldn't fault a thing. Of course we didn't want to leave but had to head home. Everything we needed even eggs, bacon, bread, chocolates, cheese and nuscuits, nuts, chips and milk supplied. Oh home made jam too. We had chef Cynthia come and cook for us Saturday night. The meal was exquisite. Cynthia also did us a picnic hamper and had it waiting for us when we arrived. It was soooo good. We spent time in the outside quirky bath with a wine or two. The fire pit was amazing and not to mention the view. Right under Mt Roland. There was even a platapus in the lake which was amazing to watch. Loved every second of our 3 night stay. We would highly recommend staying at Eagle's Nest. We had our own amitheatre too. The most relaxing place I've ever stayed at. Do yourself a favor and book to go visit. You won't regret it. The best accommodation in Tasmania to stay, no doubt I loved my experience. The decoration is impeccable, cleanliness and comfort. The mountain view is the differential makes this experience even more amazing. Ideal for couples in love and family.

Exceptional service and a beautiful venue. The spa bath with mountain background made for a perfect stay. The staff went over and beyond to accomodate our needs and last minute requests. Would recommend.

Location is dazzling, property is gorgeous, owners are lovely.
We had our wedding here with a few friends and family and it was an absolutely perfect location for us.
We will be back for a less hectic visit!

Eagles Nest 3. Fantastic getaway for a romantic weekend. Soooo relaxing we had the greatest time and will be back. Everything was provided and the chicken eggs we collected made for a tasty breaky! The best part is waking up with a mountain view at the foot of your bed. Unequalled. Must see.
