Roses Park Rest Area

Beautiful camping spot right on the river! We fully enjoyed our stay there. One of not many spots where you can have fires and for a gold coin you get a clean flushable toilets! Very impressive!

The idiot that is owning the caravan park at the Dorrigo national park is complaining about the people camping for free (or donation) in the roses park rest area...
He is going broke because is not very friendly. Karma do not forget anyone.
So, no hot shower for me tonight. Bath in the Bellingen river instead. It Is cold, but is Nice to be wild. Love this camping area!

Exactly what it says on the packet. A rest area with bins, tables and a toilet. Plus there’s a general store next door. If you’re passing through this is a great spot to stay for the night.

Very good reat area, we got in around 3pm hing out, made dinner and hit the road early the next morning. Felt private, safe and clean bathrooms!

Amazing rest area...on the banks of the Bellinger river.
So many different varieties of trees and flora. Huge goanna seeking scraps from around the camps. 2 Flush toilets. General store next to rest area. Variety of bird life amazing. Beautiful long diamond python.....watch out for your dogs...if little.

Perfect place to stay one or two nights. It's free and it's super close to the national park, so it's very convienient. There is no water, no bbq, and the toilet is full of spiders and caterpillars. Besides this, its a nice green spot to park your car and put your tent. There is a lil shop/petrol station next to it, so you can buy basic groceries and coffee (and also use the toilets from the shop, which are very clean).

Lovely spot got an overnighter. Stayed two nights in fact. There is a 2night limit on stays here.
Free to stay, but there is a gold coin donation box. Please give a dollar or two.
Also, general store 100m away that sells food, beer and ice.

Great little spot to rest. As others have said is a little noisey but we found it didn't go all night.

Close to road, but you can handle it. Also shop in 2min walk. Quite clean toilets. Two days stay max, but nobody complained when stayed extra day... Thank to volunteers for keeping this camp alive and clean.

Another great stay at Roses park! Went to the local produce market too - lovely! Not sure if it's a disgruntled local or just a youth that drives past at midnight on their horn, but it didn't ruin my stay and I'll be back again!

Great place for an overnight stay, pop a few dollars in the box outside the toilet. 15 minutes to Dorrigo national park, clean toilets with paper and general store next door. Thank you!

Nice grassy with flat areas for caravans. Little shop has the most delicious sourdough bread.

Sincerely grateful to the members of the Thora community that make this park the beautiful oasis it is.

Honor the honesty box, drop a gold coin or more and allow this place to keep open for everyone who are to come!
