Carlton Beach is just beautiful. The entrance is right next to the SLSC. The beach stretches for a couple of miles and looks out over Frederick Henry Bay.

It's a great beach to walk along in the morning. The vista changes every day. Lots of locals walking dogs.

Carlton river flows into it.

You can surf or paddle board easily.

The beach is fabulous for paddling and swimming as it’s sheltered and safe by relative standards. The SLSC was closed for renovations and I hope to visit again when it’s open. Meantime, there are toilets but no change and shower facilities and no coffee 😂
