The Causeway Caravan Park

Booked via call as they didn't respond to emails. We stayed in a budget cabin ($80/night for 2 adults, no pets) for four nights. It includes a refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, and electric portable stove. The room is outdated but clean and has the basics you need, such as a decent air conditioner, a small sink for washing dishes, a closet, and a bed. However, it lacks a toilet and shower. Ensuite cabins were not available at the time of booking, but the shared amenities are clean and comfortable. You can access them with the key provided. We had a comfortable stay and really loved the location of the caravan park.

A fabulous location with abundant access to the Lake. The best thing about this park is the Manager Judy. What a lovely, helpful and hard-working lady. Great little shop next door with excellent takeaway meals including roast dinners. Will definitely be back to this piece of paradise.

What a gem! Located right beside the lake with only a short walk across the road to meet the sea! Great set up and a fantastic host in Judy who greeted us in her very down to Earth way. Our one night quickly turned into two nights once we saw what was on offer. Very tranquil indeed not to mention picture perfect ☺

Great location on the side of the lake, small caravan park which makes this location special, good fishing and crabbing, close to corner store, boat ramp, and boat hire,

this is a great little caravan park situated in fantastic location clean amenities close to water and surrounding areas

- Park Owner Judy was amazing and helpful with anything we needed
- We arrived at 1 pm, later than we expected and it was no hassle. We were able to park the camper and Judy even showed us around the site and where everything was.
- Older blocks are a little run-down (just need a coat of paint that's it, nothing to worry about) if chipped paint annoys you that much there are new showers and toilets available also. DO NOT be those campers who leave the hot water running once you leave, you don't want a cold shower so don't make others have one.
- Perfect prices for a powered site
- You are given a key per site which gives you access to public amenities such as laundry, Showers, and Toilets.
- The laundry has 2 washing machines and 1 dryer. For the week we stayed (During the school holidays) we never had to wait to use them. If you don't like using a dryer they have a clothesline area available which is huge.
- They have a BBQ area that has timber picnic-style tables, fridge and freezer, kettle, toaster, massive sinks, and a large BBQ. Please do not be the people who leave the area filthy like the people before we did. It is disrespectful not only to the other campers but to the owners also. Please clean up after yourself and not be disgusting animals.
- Close to a lake where you can catch fish, hire boats and take amazing photos of wildlife and gorgeous sunsets.

We have only just left and already planning our next year's stay.

We have been coming here for a few years now and absolutely love it. The hosts are fantastic down to earth people. The bird lifeis amazing and fishing , beaches and kiosk within walking distance. The locals are friendly. Great place.

Just stayed for 2 weeks in our van and loved it. Beautiful surroundings including a kookaburra chorus every dawn and dusk, peaceful, idyllic and so friendly. Yes some of the facilities will be upgraded soon but they are always clean and well supplied. Can't possibly complain about the price or the helpful and friendly folk there. Shady and roomy too. Just a wee drive from Yeppoon, fabulous Rosslyn Bay, lovely Emu Park amd much more to explore.

Currently staying here while we look for a place to live. Jude & Graham are wonderful hosts & made us feel very welcome upon arrival..very relaxed atmosphere & I feel at home here. Beautiful spot with wonderful views.

Loved everything about this place. We wanted peace, quiet, and simplicity away from the hoards of people. Loved the location. We will be return visitors for sure.

A place with it all. Good takeaway tucker, water sports, fishing, shady picnic areas, playground and caravan park. What more could you want?

Best Caravan Park near Yeppoon, right across from great fishing spot. Excellent pricing and great powered sites with water. Clean toilet and shower blocks.

Great caravan Park, the care taker lady at reception is friendly and helpful, the villa we stayed in was absolutely beautiful with all cooking facilities, including oven! Beautiful location - a real hidden gem.

Didn't stay there but want to. Looks great right across from beach and fishing. Nice area, lots of places to walk to.

Love here every year would not go anywhere else
