Discovery Parks - Coolwaters, Yeppoon

Best site we’ve stayed at!
We had an en-suite camper van spot that even had a washing machine!
Stunning views and super clean. (The beach across the road was fantastic)

There was even a food truck there on the night we stayed and the food was excellent!

Definitely recommend.

Will definitely be coming back with more family and friends, a great variety of things to do with kids such as 3 pools( 2 with slides), tennis court, basketball court, jumping pillow and hire out pedal carts, cabins are nice bit expensive for what they are i wish they would take that into consideration, camping spots / caravan sites are or the smaller side of sites.

Cabins of varying sizes to accommodate a range of family sizes, starting from a single bedroom. Cabins all have a covered car port attached. Pool and jumping pillow on-site with peddle trikes for hire, too.

We enjoyed our stay at Coolwaters. The amenities were great with plenty of hot water. The staff are friendly and reception is stocked with everything from bait to ice and gas. We loved our daily texts with details on community activities, food and coffee vans at the park.
Unfortunately no personal fires are allowed but the 3 communal fire pits are well serviced and stocked.
Book well in advance to avoid missing out.
While we don't have kids, this park would be the bees knees for them with a water park, tennis and jumping pillow on offer! If you have the opportunity to go to Bob's Bush Poetry, you'll be glad that you did!

A lovely park with lovely amenities. We had pretty ordinary weather during our stay but the kids still enjoyed themselves! A great pool and water park for the kids, my only suggestion would be for another enclosed camp kitchen down the back for the unpowered sites area to get out of the rain if it is bad weather.

Thank you so much for the last 4 days. The park is so well maintained, the staff are so lovely and welcoming. Cannot rate the amenities highly enough, best showers out of any camp ground I have ever been too. We had a lovely view of the Causeway. The unpowered sites are very spacious. Thank you again, we will definately be back 👌

Big park, good amenities for families with kids including big swimming pool, pool with slide, splash park, park, jumping pillow, tennis etc. Plus next door to a big lake.
Easy 8klm drive into Yeppoon town with new cinema, swimming lagoon and skate park etc.

We stayed here for a couple of nights, absolutely amazing, incredible staff.
Our children had the best time park was so clean and tidy and our site was one of the best we’ve been on! Thank you for having our little family & the lollys on the way out 💜🙂

Fantastic park, great for the family. So much to do, kids are busy all day in the water slide and in the large beach entry style pool or on the jumping pillow. The Causeway Lake is a great spot for a fish and the camp kitchens and toilet/shower facilities are great. Return Camper.

When we went there in 2021 it was very busy but great, now we’re going again on the 23/12/2023 - 10/01/2024. Highly recommend.

We have been here for 5 days with two to go. The park is AMAZING. The staff have been friendly, welcoming and helpful from our first phone call too our day to day needs.
The pool is clean, tidy and fun for the kids and the deck chairs with cushions and shade are great for me to relax while I watch them.
The kids activities have be fun and the kids have loved them.
The park is grounds are clean as are the toilets and showers.
We will definitely book again.

Stayed for 2 nights in a cabin and it was great. The cabin was spacious and very roomy with everything that you need for cooking meals and clean. The family was very comfortable in the cabin. Awesome place to go and get away with family and still have everything close enough around to get things if you need it. Amazing friendly staff and the whole environment of the park is fantastic. We will be returning in the near future to enjoy the whole park again and unwind in the relaxing environment and to go on the water slides👍. Highly recommend this place to anyone with a family and that who likes to be able to walk down and throw a line in the water.

We stayed in powered site. Amenities were great. Pool area excellent. Staff very friendly. Will visit again.

Great park and would definitely recommend staying here. The park is very well maintained and the staff are friendly. The communication on what is taking place in the park is excellent. For example you receive a text giving details of which food van will be coming that night, so you can place an order if you wish. Also a coffee van visits each morning. Very well run and managed park and highly recommend.

Beautiful location nestled right beside the beautiful causeway lake. Great destination with loads of activities, especially on school holidays! Pool, pillow, and carts for the kids !! Convenience of local coffee and variety of food vendors that trade in and outside of the park, so it really is a one-stop destination. Walking distance to the beach, Kinka Kipper fish n chips shop, causeway lake shop ( do a variety of roast dinners and fish n chips etc, boat hire location and fishing off the causeway lake bridge, don't forget your rod. Great lake for crabbing, boating, jet skiing, and water skiing. Dog friendly park, cabins, powered and non powered sites, so something for everyone. Only minutes away from the local Rosslyn Bay Harbour, gateway to the beautiful Southern Great Barrier Reef, Great Keppel Island, Pumkin Island, North Keppel Island and lots of other islands and some of the best fishing, including the might Fitzroy River home of the mighty Barramundi and threadfin salmon. You might even sight the odd wild croc in the Fitzroy River.
You will love the park and so much to do here on the Cap Coast, so book more than a night as you'll regret not staying longer!!! 😉

Our first visit to discovery parks and Yeppoon in general. 3 nights on our way back home… we had a powered site and the site was a great size!
The park is very clean, activities for the kids are great. The pool and waterpark was great. Ping pong and camp kitchen are great. Card facilities in the laundry was a great touch too! Staff are friendly and it very enjoyable. Will happily return.

We stayed for 8 nights and had a great time. Park and amenities were clean and staff were friendly. Park is located in the quiet sleepy town of Kinka Beach, gorgeous location but was a fair way from Yeppoon. About 15mins by car. Great place and would definitely stay there again.

Awesome park,location with friendly staff. Had a very generous spotless ensuite site. Food vans out the front on different days. Couldn't fault anything. Would definitely stay here again for longer than 4 nights next time. Huge lake lapping the shores. ❤
