Aramac Tramway Museum

Great history of the area and the tram way. There's a video there to watch that explains the trams history and how the Aramac area flourished. We stayed behind the pub and made the walk to the Tram Museum.

Amazing collection of things, not all railway, but all interesting

Great display for a little town. Very welcoming to tourists. Great video of early history. Old rail motor is fascinating- would have been an interesting trip into Barcaldine.

Interesting collection of railway and station life / country town memorabilia. Bit dusty in places but the tram way section spic and span.

Aramac qld what a great town, the museum was well worth visiting pity aunty emma cant stretch her legs on some longer trackwork, one day maybe? real outback country town will visit and stay again.

Great place

A great little hidden gem maintained by the locals. They are currently looking for volunteers for some restoration work on one of the trams. Lots of old memorabilia from days gone by. Donation box near the entrance. It was late afternoon when we had a wonder around looking at everything. Didn’t seem to have opening hours.

Needs some help with restoration of the trams. When finished, I will be looking forward to coming back. The AEC tram car is in great condition. There is a great collection of old relics. Highly recommended visit in Aramac

Good to support these small community run museums.

Fascinating old tram, based on AEC mechanicals. The tram is in excellent condition.... such a pity it no longer does any trips (like so many others, such as the Mt Morgan Rack Railway).
Unfortunately, we couldn't see much of the display inside because we couldn't find the light switch!
Interesting machinery dotted about outside.
