Great gym. Has everything I need to workout, and a good feel. Also a good pricing structure so that I don't need to sign up for 12 months to get a reasonable price. I just met the new owner and he's very welcoming to newbies and regulars.

As a new Limbo Gym member I’m extremely satisfied with the helpful staff and exercise equipment. Limbo Gym has recently undergone a transformation which has married modern sleek design with an old school gym feel. Moreover, the gym’s relaxed and warm atmosphere make me look forward to a workout and as a woman makes me feel confident and comfortable. I plan on being a Limbo Gym member for a long time!

I’ve been training Limbo for nearly 14 years. It has always been my space to unwind, develop and learn. I’ve worked at gyms throughout this 14 years as a gym instructor and as a physio and have still purposely paid for and kept my membership because that’s how good the community is. It’s a place that genuinely cares about its members which in terms of motivation to show up every day and work out, is incredibly beneficial.

Great gym to train at to get your work done hard and have a good community around to push you further. Some amazing unique pieces of equipment and a great old school feel even with the new renovations. Would highly recommend over crowded gyms that have picnics and tripods.

Great gym to train at, you won’t have the average Derrimut hero with their tripod and over escalated ego. I like the simplicity and quietness of the gym, no fluffing about, if your at a gym, your there to train and Limbo is the place to do that. If you want quantity, go to Derrimut, but if you want quality, come to Limbo.

Limbo Gym is a great place to get fit because it is packed with an impressive variety of equipment that is clean and well maintained. Sure, the gym doesn't have the biggest floor space; but it's not designed for yoga group classes. Instead, its space is very efficiently packed full of well-cared for machines, racks, and benches for resistance training. It has three power cages, a smith machine, a number of different flat, incline, and decline benches, barbells up to some staggeringly large weight, and more bars and plates than you can lift. It also has treadmills, cycling machines, a rowing machine, exercise balls and mats, medicine balls, ab roller wheels, some crazily difficult device that you use roll up weights to exercise your fore-arms and grip, and tonnes of other things.

Some other reviews suggest the gym is 'old' as though that's a bad thing. While there is a set of dumbells in the imperial system, they're still as functional: after all, they just need to be heavy. (There's also several sets of dumbells and kettle bells in metric units, of course.) And, yes, some of the machines have paint chipped off the supports after years of use, but they still glide smoothly and the seats are clean and unripped: and that's all that matters.

Furthermore, whoever said the staff were 'unenthusiastic' obviously didn't go when Matt, the owner, was around... There are plenty of staff that are welcoming and enthusiastic and there to encourage and help you to your fitness goals.

Limbo Gym has a different feeling than other franchise brands which are more style over substance that promote rows and rows of treadmills with a few resistance machines. It is an independent, no-nonsense gym for people who are serious about resistance training to improve their health.

Old school, this is not anytime fitness or jetts. Both the staff and the regulars are like family every one knows each other and the environment is polite and friendly. Its not flashy but if youre looking to quietly make your gainz at a bargain in an awesome atmorsphere with very knowledgable staff, swing through here.
