Murrumbateman Country Inn

I didn't stay here, so my review relates to the pub and dining area. What a hidden gem! Very friendly and informative staff, reasonably priced drinks including local wines at very good prices, and great pub food. Best country pub I've been to in a long time! Bravo!

We phoned the Murrumbateman Country Inn to order a takeaway pizza for dinner. When we called we spoke to one of the most bubbly, happy and polite staff members I have ever spoken to over the phone. We didn’t get her name unfortunately, even when we picked up the pizza she was very welcoming and had a great attitude which is very rare these days. Thank you and we will be back!

It was 11:45pm and I had been drive 8 hours with only a small brake to eat a burger. I had been working physically hard from 7am that same day and left home at 3pm. I was truly tired when I arrived at Murrumbateman and I still had 2 hours of driving ahead of me. The Country Inn had a very clean bed room for me with an ensuite and I was able to have a much needed hot drink. The people I met were kind, helpful and cheerful. I was back on the road refreshed and happy the next day. THANK YOU 👍🏻

I'm away two or three days a week & try to stay in Country locations where possible. Murrumbateman Country Inn is by far the Best I've stayed in - EVER. Rooms are modern, I'd say, Designer if asked, sleek & stylish, spotless, well equipped all facilities are better than most of us have at home 😄. The Restaurant is wonderful, great food & wide range. The bloke I sat next to told me he stays here and drives into Canberra and back everyday as it's easily the best place to stay when he's in the Capital on business. Really nice welcoming folks running the place - the care shows - absolutely 5 stars 👍

Great live music venue, with top bands on 3rd weekend each month. Excellent bistro food, renovated rooms, great atmosphere inside and out. Good sized function space also.

The hospitality in a country town is second to none. Murrumbateman is a divine escape from the bush capital. Only 28 minutes on the road from Canberra, and you arrive at a picturesque town filled with welcoming hands. We arrived as part of the band BlindSided for the New Years Eve celebrations.
The Murrumbateman Country Inn knows how to show old skool hospitality each and every time we visit. The 15 rooms have been newly refurbished and even though it was a night of celebration, it was not easy to leave the quiet, modern and comfortable sanctuary of the room. Albeit I did leave to eat, to banter with the locals, to applaud the friendly staff and to bring in 2024 with the people who were there to enjoy the night. I was so impressed with the refurbished rooms I told anyone how complimentary they are of the sophisticated country town.
The restaurant has always provided great food and last night was no different. The eye fillet was delicious as was the sticky date pudding. I highly recommend the Murrumbateman Country Inn and we will definitely return for a staycation, no doubt for this years Murrumbateman Field Days.
Well done on the quality of service, hospitality, revamped accommodation, and for supporting local and live music.

Hotel was good for a country inn rooms were ok in size and decor and beds comfortable. The pub adjoining was the highlight...a real country pub with fantastic staff and great value meals. Great place to stop over for a night

We stopped at this beautiful pub for lunch on our way through Murrumbateman, absolutely wonderful, great service, friendly staff, clean and our meal only took about 30min, which was great as it was very busy. Lucky to get a table.

Beautiful country pub right on the Barton Highway in Murrumbateman. We had dinner there last night, I had the chicken parmigiana and my partner had the pepper pork which came with peppercorn sauce, sweet potato mash and asian vegetables. The parmi was nice, but the pepper pork was out of this world amazing! Have visited a few times before, and will definitely be back again :)

I love this place. My son has allergies and they always find something for him to eat, I cannot thank them enough.

Pulled up here on the way back from Canberra to have a drink to celebrate our 23 rd wedding anniversary. Nice place to stop off for a drink but only in moderation. Service was great and plenty of parking.

Very new modern hotel. Rooms very stylish and clean overlooking a paddock. Bikes available. Has common area set up with a kitchen.. all very sleek and modern. Helpful staff pointed us in direction of local pub for a meal which was really good. A great place to stop..great value and makes a change from staying in the bigger towns..which can be rather soulless.
