We stayed at Werriberri in the twin cottage for a weekend getaway, and had a wonderful and relaxing experience there. The owners left a welcome package of delicious fresh bread, eggs, muesli, trail mix, jam, and butter for us on arrival. It was such a great surprise and welcome and everything was delicious.

The cottage was very clean and well furnished. The kitchen was very well stocked with equipment if you want to cook yourself. The dining area was spacious, and the lounge area had a nice sofa, TV, and movies and board games in the entertainment unit. The bathroom was very nice and had a heated towel rack, and the bedroom was very comfortable. The cottage seemed very well insulated as it would stay warm well after sunset, and also be considerably cooler than the outside after the sun had come up the next day. There is also air conditioning but we didn't find it necessary to use.

The setting of the cottages is also wonderful, with lots of really nice bushland surrounding them. We saw lots of birds around including fairy wrens and rosellas. A walk around the back of the cottages will take you to some nice short local bushwalks on the property. The owner's very friendly dog also came to investigate us which was really cute!

We really enjoyed our stay at Werriberri and would like to stay again. We would absolutely recommend for anyone interested to come and stay here. Thanks very much for having us!

We had a wonderful, very relaxing stay at Werriberri Cottages. The view from the lounge room and bedroom was bushland and looked amazing. The fresh breakfast pack supplied with local produce was a lovely surprise. The walks around the property was relaxing with lots of wildlife to see. The staff were very friendly and everything was lovely.

Lovely, clean and modern cabins. Yummy offerings of fresh bread, jam, eggs and milk. We loved putting a log on the fire and warming our scones on top. Beautiful little fairy wrens greet you in the morning with fabulous walks on the property including a waterfall bush walk. We took our little dog who had a ball! The tearooms nearby are a must with the best scones I’ve ever had! We can’t wait to come back soon.

Such a lovely stay! Despite the cold weather outside, the cottage was cosy and we had a fire going. Our dog also had a great time exploring the property. The local bread, eggs and granola waiting for us on arrival were a lovely touch.

Absolutely delighted with the location, layout and quality of our accomodation over two nights at Werriberri. Quiet, private and close to hiking trails. Comfortable, warm and very well furnished with a well designed functioning kitchen. However, the absence of shampoo, conditioner and a bodywash was disappointing particularly as this was advertised. It would also help if there were a few more cooking ingredients, i.e. herbs and spices, vinegar, mustard, relish etc. That said, the eggs, bread, trail mix and cereal were very much appreciated. I am reluctant to criticise as we had such a lovely experience.

My partner and I and our doggo, had the most amazing stay at Werriberri! The drive to the location was spectacular, the land where the cottages are located is breath takingly beautiful and the cottages themselves are picture perfect!! Great walking tracks to explore at your doorstep taking you on journeys to creeks and waterfalls! Then to come back to a warm cosy wood fire and enjoy the view of the surrounding cliffs!

One of the most memorable stays we have had, and a special shout out to the great hosts Andy and Ash who were so friendly, helpful and accommodating!

We will most definitely be back!!!

Another year celebrating my birthday at Werriberri Cottages with my family. This is becoming a tradition.
Relaxing by the fire in their beautiful cozy cottages, bush walks with the kids and dog. Not to mention scones for afternoon tea across the road at The Megalong Valley Tearooms.
We will be back. Thank you for a wonderful weekend away.

Staff are friendly, the fire in the cabin is warm and the surrounding bush is huge and makes for a nice walk. Just remember to bring food/supplies with you, the nearest shops are about a 15 min drive away up a very windy road. Really nice place, well worth a visit.

I stayed in these cabins recently for the second time on a family holiday. The cabins are in a great location in the Megalong Valley about 15 mins from Blackheath. The cabins are well appointed with air-con, internal combustion fireplace, kitchen and comfy lounge.
Great views of the walls of Megalong Valley st sunset glowing, bush walks and open areas for kids to run around.
Short walking distance to the Megalong tea-rooms for coffee, scones etc and a 20 minute drive to the Dryridge Estate Winery and Six Foot Track.
I’m looking forward to my next visit already.

Andy and Ash are natural hosts with a generous and personable approach. The Megalong valley is an idyllic natural setting with the sandstone escarpment rising up above the gum forest on all sides. The cabins are also directly across from the famous tea rooms which have a decades old scones recipe that hasn’t changed since we started going there all of those years ago.

Andy and Ash were amazing hosts. Remarkable location with excellent amenities and facilities. My wife and I both had such a great time escaping the city and would come back in a heartbeat.

Want to escape? This is the spot for you. There is nothing quite like when the afternoon sun lights the escarpment in merigold and rusty hues. The tranquil peace while walking through the loamy tracks throughout the valley remind me of my blissful childhood adventures. Wonderful spot.

My friends and I spent the weekend in Werriberri Cottages and we had a great time. The cottages are well equipped with everything you'll need and the rooms are very tidy. Andy and Ash were quick to respond to our questions and were very accommodating as well.

It was raining throughout our stay but that didn't stop us from exploring the nearby trails as there are heaps to choose from. There are outdoor tables around the area where you can setup a nice spread for lunch or dinner.

As the place is well within nature, please expect different types of insects and wildlife - mostly harmless. Be careful when driving in the rain as the road leading to the place from Blackheath is windy.

Overall, would highly recommend for a relaxing getaway from the city. My friends and I can't wait to be back soon.

Beautiful place to stay: it’s warm, cosy, picturesque and the hosts of the property were so friendly and welcoming, I’ve been twice now; both winter and summer, we absolutely love it. Can’t wait to visit again
