Long Point Lookout

A stunning view over the Shoalhaven River and it’s gorge. Easy to find. A pretty big carpark. There some old picnic tables and a non-drinking water tap. The toilet is a fairly recent long-drop style. But clean.
The steps to the lookout itself were a bit rough so care is needed, but there are only 25 or 30 and the view is quite spectacular.
There is a short walk along the ridge, it is an easy track and about 20 minutes return.

Well worth the diversion into the highlands to visit this lookout - peaceful and serene and after rain and on a cooler day the smell of eucalyptus is quite distinct. Down below you is the Shoalhaven River meandering it’s way east, and after rain, swollen and fast running. There is a decent path to the river that requires average fitness, best done if you give yourself a day to do it. Small toilet, smallish car park and short gravel road to encounter but a 2WD would handle it (even in the wet). Highly worth the visit.

After many years visiting the Marulan/Goulburn area visiting family, I had no idea such a beautiful area existed there. Long Point Lookout is one of those areas! Looking out over a gorge carved out by the Shoalhaven River, it's an area of great natural beauty. A great bush walking track starts/finishes here that winds its way down to the bottom. I highly recommend some good shoes and maybe some bug spray but well worth the walk.

Sealed road until 400m before lookout. Not for 2wd, ok to walk. Panoramic views.

A hidden gem. We were the only ones there to enjoy some breathtaking views. There were tracks of differing lengths and difficulties. Highly worth the stop.

Nice roomy parking area. Toilets and a picnic shelter. Steps to viewpoint we ok. Great views. Stepish dirt road in at the end.

A stunning lockout over the Shoalhaven Gorge just 2hrs drive from Syd CBD, it is well worth a quick stop !!
There is a very basic small picnic shelter and a dunny.
The last 500m of road is graded dirt.
There is fast food and fuel available nearby at Sutton Forest on the highway.

A great lookout over the Shoalhaven River valley. Decent parking and the starting point of done good bush walks.

Beautiful view of the shoalhaven river winding it's way through the valley below the mountains. There's even covered table and chairs and toilets here too. Walk the extra 300m for another view which isn't very different from the other view, but nice regardless

Good view. Bring your hiking shoes though, the terrain is not flip-flop friendly.

Great view, need a vehicle with a decent clearance to get to it there's some big ditches to avoid if driving a sports car
