Wonderful, quiet, and cosy experience perfect for a relaxing getaway or romantic hideaway. Not a lot in the immediate vicinity so bring food but remember these have little kitchenettes (single burner little oven, toaster etc.) Don't be planning on whipping up a 3 course meal. The host is amazingly attentive while 100% discrete. I have seen the property's pig, cat, and dogs more times than I have ever seen her, yet we come home to find a pot of jam from the local markets on the woodpile for us. Perfect getaway.

We had a 2 night stay at the Tomah retreat in the 'Chill' guest house and it was absolutely perfect.
I booked this trip after feeling mentally exhausted from work and stress and it filled my cup completely. The property has beautiful gardens and extremely friendly animals. Even in winter, we sat in the sun reading our books and the chickens came and sat with us!
The guest house was stocked with fresh sourdough bread and baked good and even a bottle of bubbly!
The French bathtub and fireplace made nights relaxing.
It's close to Bilpin cider which was a great day out.

Two days wasn't even for us, we will be staying longer next time!

We stayed in "Breathe" for 2 nights as we were attending a wedding nearby. Bronwen was a great host who left us a bottle of Sparkly, chocolates and French music playing upon arrival. Flora the pig was very friendly, as were the chickens. The farm eggs and b'fast provisions were great. Very comfortable and quiet.

My girlfriend and I have just stayed in the Chill Studio for our 4 years and we were blown away. It was very hard to leave.

We were hit with 2 - 11 degree temperatures throughout our stay, however we were very comfortable thanks to the fire place and oil heater located in our room. In the early evenings we would sit in the sauna for an hour and then we found ourselves in the morning sipping coffee in the treehouse, overlooking the mountains. We were also 3 minutes away from the Botanical Gardens, so it was a quick drive for some lovely anniversary photos. Our host, Bronwen, also checked in through text everyday to see if we needed more firewood, breakfast foods and other essentials.

We have travelled all the way from Brisbane to experience this beautiful place and only 4 days out, are already hoping to plan a trip with family to come back. We can’t wait.

Me and my partner stayed In the chill retreat. Wow what a treat! It has so many unique treasures that make the room special. I especially enjoyed the intamacy cards. Highly reccomend this for a rememorable experience. The botanical gardens are just down the road too which are a must see. Thank you the the host Bronwen for being so thoughtful.

We stayed in the Relax room on the same day we officially married (long story, lol), and enjoyed there our mini honey moon. It could not have been better. Brownen treated us great and we enjoyed a lot all her animals and the nature surrounding her Tomah retreat. Don't miss out! :)

This place was finding a nugget of gold, where you would least expect it. Clean, comfy, cozy and so, so quiet and relaxing. Every thing you need and nothing that you don't. The night sky was perfect - lucky we went when it was a new moon... You could see so many stars - it was breathtaking. Lots of little personal touches too, like the complimentary wine, chocolates and breakfast basket. I'll be back for sure.

Beautiful and peaceful accommodation in the blue mountains, perfect getaway for couples for one or multiple nights. After only 1 night here we felt so relaxed! The property is beautiful, lots of animals and little seating areas and the rooms are spacious and have everything you need. Would recommend to bring some food so you don’t need to drive out once you’re settled in (you don’t want to leave once you’re relaxing by the fireplace!). Or, go to the Archibald Hotel for a decent meal if you don’t mind a drive. Thanks for a lovely stay, we will definitely be back.

This was our fourth stay at Bronwen's retreat! The accommodation was beautiful, unique, clean and relaxing. The animals are all so friendly, the nature wild and magical and we always enjoy reading our books and drinking tea by the fire or up in the treehouse. Very close drive to the Blue Mountains Botanical Gardens and many bush walks. Would highly recommend you stay here :)

This place is a little oasis. Bronwen is a great host. Gives you your privacy but always available for anything you need. Tomah retreat is located in a great location, close to some great walks and local treats. The rooms are unique and cosy. The animals just make the place! We loved feeding the horse and flora the pig. The chickens, dogs and cats make the place so unique. Will definitely be back!

We stayed for 2 nights in the Chill room. It is a fantastic space. Lovely views out onto the gardens and the bath was a hit. It was a very cold time of year but we never noticed in the room with the fireplace and a heater.

Bronwen was very lovely. Showed us around and helped us get settled. The surrounding gardens were beautiful, especially in the mist. There's a range of animals around the site, we enjoyed watching the chickens and saying hello to flora the pig. The botanical gardens are just down the road which also was a lovely place to visit.

Breakfast was a selection of breads, croissants and fresh eggs. There's no kitchen as such but there was a kettle, microwave, sandwich toaster, mini fridge and portable electric hotplate so we didn't feel we were missing anything. We just did a trip to the IGA around 20mins away and that was all we needed.

I would definately recommend going directly to the website to book as it is much cheaper than via the 3rd party booking sites (likely because of the commission they charge the owner).

Overall highly recommend staying there. It is a peaceful and definitely feels like a retreat. We will definitely go back when we next stay in Bilpin.

Had a wonderful stay in Breath where we did just that ! Wandering the gardens and having a cuppa while enjoying the tranquil space. Will stay 2 nights next time!

I was looking for somewhere to stay after a wedding. I found so much more...
The moment we set foot in the Breathe space, we relaxed. The rooms are cosy, well appointed in an eclectic style which is just my jam. Bronwen met us upon arrival to show us to our space, introduce us to the welcoming committee of Bowie & snoozy Flora and provide us with the general overview you always require. The little touches of music, croissants, sourdough, fresh apples, cheese and champagne really set the tone. The treehouse, sauna, labyrinth and gardens are beautifully calming areas. I didn't want to leave! Tomah Retreat will be my new go-to to detox from the urban sprawl.
Highly recommend for a quiet getaway.

I was really happy that I found Tomah Retreat. I was photographing a wedding in the Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens, and I needed somewhere close by- After a 16 hour day a long drive is not advisable!
Bronwen was super helpful from the moment I booked and replied to my emails straight away.
Her place is really nice and she does those extra little things that she doesn't have to, but make for a comfortable stay.
We stayed in "Breathe", and it was roomy, the bed was nice, and the wood fire was something much needed after a long day.
Upon waking there was amisty views that were pretty cool, and a random big pig wandered by (tame, friendly, a pet.)
Breathe is under her house, but don't let that fool you- there is no noice from above, and it feels super secluded.
Recommend for sure!

We love staying here! The animals are wonderful (particularly Flora the pig), the estate is beautiful and peaceful, and Bronwyn is the perfect host! It is good value for money, and we love that it feels like a home and not like a hotel when we are there. We have been back a number of times, and will continue to do so.

What a delightful place to relax and chill.::
Romantically misty in the early morning.. perfect for a stroll along the quiet dead end road... loved the enormous gum trees.:: and all the friendly animals... especially Flora the pig!!
Loved walking the labyrinth by torch at night and sitting by the fire pit chatting with Bronwen (the fabulous host!!) and other guests... some very interesting conversations.
Will definitely be back to recenter and recharge!!

A beautiful location and a wonderful room. The view from the sauna was a delight and the visit from the chooks so endearing. Just wish we could have stayed longer. Bronwen is an attentive host.

Great place to stay, cosy and very quiet, in the middle of the bush but land cleared around it. Accommodation excellent, various farm animals roaming around (very well behaved). Great breakfast food was in the kitchen. Great bed! Close to some interesting bush walking - Pierces Pass, which overlooks the Grose Valley - 1 hour return (good walking track).
